Nick and Ashley first bonded over their love of snow when they met in February 2015, so when a blizzard came through town it was a perfect night for a first date. The plan was a snowy stroll to downtown to grab some dinner. The snowy walk was perfect, but when they got downtown everything was closed! The town was shut down due to the snow, so the date was seemingly ruined. Luckily, Ashley was already smitten so she hardly noticed her hunger as they kept walking with a plan to order pizza. Nick and Ashley took their time as they walked through beautiful flurries in South Park. Ashley remembers the moment on that first date in snowy South Park when she knew she wanted tobe with Nick forever.

2 years later, Ashley found herself back in that same park, walking through the gorgeous snow once again. Nick devised an elaborate plan as soon as the weather showed signs of snow. Nick and Ashley’s dearest friends and family were alerted and ready to brave the blizzard to take part in a magical night. Ashley met up with two of her oldest friends at a downtown café and was convinced to head up the block to do some shopping. On the way she was met with two more best friends who had a cozy coat and letter from Nick in hand. The five girls continued walking until Ashley was surprised to see her mom and little sister waiting with hot chocolate and another sweet note from Nick. After this stop Ashley started to put the pieces together and couldn’t believe Nick managed to recreate their first date so perfectly.

Along with her favorite women, Ashley made her way to the same park where she had first fell in love with Nick. Through the flurries Ashley spotted a group of people gathering with balloons in hand that spelled “Marry Me”.

Beneath the Christmas lights, covered in snow, and surrounded by the people they love most, Nick was waiting.

The proposal brought back all of the memories of first falling in love and the scenery could not have been more beautiful. It was an unforgettable night!
