Frequent Issues
- No icons for programs on school computers?
- Call ISS
- Student not showing up on test list?
- If they are new, they must be in PowerSchool before they can take the test.
- Check to make sure they are enrolled for the test (p. 3).
- Make sure you the student is using the correct number to login
- Roster tab → Grade (L bar) → select desired grade level
- Students (L bar) → select desired student (double click)
- Make sure you are using the number listed for the username (top L)
- Teacher’s Dashboard not working?
- Make sure Class Profile is correct (p. 7)
- Dashboard only updates on weekends
- Reports you want not showing up?
- Make sure you have selected ( L bar) Classes → SRI testing
To Do Every Test Window
Before
Check that all students are enrolled for the test(s) (p. 3)
Make sure students who have been suspended are re-enrolled
Manually deactivate students not at the school (p. 3)
Send Mrs. Reusser Requests for Exemption form (saved to SRI folder or under System 44/Read 180 Teacher Resources)
During
Run Growth Report to see who hasn’t taken the test (p. 5)
After
Run and Print Parent Reports to send home (p. 5)
Update student enrollment in intervention software (System 44/Read 180)(p. 7-8)
SRI
Enrolling Students
- To make sure everyone is signed up to take the test
- Steps:
- Roster tab → Grade (L bar) → select desired grade level (double click)
- Manage Student Enrollment (top R)
- Reading Inventory (scroll far R) → check the top box to enroll all students in SRI for that grade level
Deactivating Students
- For students not at Lee who are still on our roster
- Steps:
- Roster tab → Grade (L bar) → select desired grade level (double click)
- Students (left bar) → Select student’s name (double click)
- Deactivate student (top R)
Reset Score
- For students who need to retake the test
- CAN go back to first score if it was better
- Submit Request to Reset form (found on Teacher Resource page of TPS website) to Sharon Dauterman
- After you get approval, retest the student.
- Resubmit the Request to Reset form with the new testing information

Enrolling Students

- Students (L bar) → select student’s name(double click)
- Manage Student Enrollment (top R)
- The Phonics Inventory (scroll R) → check the box to enroll the student
Who takes Phonics Inventory
- 1sttest window
- 3rd grade : score Basic or Below Basic
- 4thand 5th grade: score Below Basic
- 2nd & 3rd test windows
- System 44 students
Reset Score
- Cannot reset PI score

Enrolling Students

- Manage Student Enrollment (top R)
- Math Inventory (scroll R) → check the top box to enroll all students in MI for that grade level
Spanish Speaking Students
- Can change audio to Spanish
- Steps:
- Roster tab → Grade (L bar) → Students (left bar) → Select student’s name (double click)
- Programs (center bottom) → Math Inventory → Settings
- Select Spanish for:
- Language (Directions Only)
- Audio Read-aloud
Reset Score
- For students who need to retake the test
- CANNOT go back to first score if it was better
- Steps:
- Roster tab → Grade (L bar) → Students (left bar) → Select student’s name (double click)
- Programs (center bottom) → Math Inventory → Grading Tools
- Select Remove next to the test the student needs to retake
- This eliminates the initial test to allow the student to retake it
Running Reports
General Instructions
- Reports tab → Classes (L bar) → SRI testing (double click)
- Show: (dropdown in center) → All Reports
- Select Grade, Teacher, or Student (L bar) if desired
- Selected report needed (categorized by The Reading Inventory, Read 180 Next Generation, etc.)
- Run Report (bottom R)
- Save copy of report to SRI folder
- Print Preview (PDF) [top R]
- Download (top R)
- Name document and save in SRI folder
- Print report
- Print button (top R)
- MAKE SURE IT IS NOT DOUBLE SIDED
- Can print selected pages if desired
SRI reports
Instructional Planning Reports
- Shows Lexile for teachers to determine System 44 and Read 180 placement
Growth Reports
- To see who has/ has not completed the SRI test
- Follow General Instructions above
- The Reading Inventory → Growth Report
- Run Report (bottom R)
- May take several minutes
- Under First Test (if it is the first test) or Last Test (for subsequent tests) select Date tab (double click)
- Students who haven’t tested will be at top of list with N/A
- Shows growth between SRI tests
- Follow General Instructions above
- Time Period box (top R) → Custom → input desired date range
- Can include previous years
- Run Report (bottom R)
Parent Reports
- Sent to all parents after each SRI testing session
- Printing in multiple languages
- Double click on the student (L bar)
- Select the Parent Report in the needed language
PI Reports
Screening and Placement Report
- Determines placement in System 44
- Pre-Decoder (Red) = needs System 44
System 44 Reports
Response to Intervention Report
- Shows total time student spends on software, number of sessions completed, number of topics mastered, average minutes spent on each topic
Read 180 Reports
Comparative Time-on-Task Report
- Shows how much time students are actively engaged on computer (clicking, not just staring)
Completion Success Report
- Shows how many minutes in an average session, what segments are complete, SRI growth
Participation Report
- Shows total time student on software, how many segments completed, number of sessions completed

Screener
- Only new students and kindergarten take to determine placement in software
Enrolling Students
- Roster tab → Manage Student Enrollment (top R)→ Check top box under iRead to enroll every student → Save

- Do at beginning of the year to make sure teachers have access to the correct stuff on Dashboard
- Steps:
- Roster tab → Classes ( L bar) → Select class (double click)
- Edit Class Profile (top R)
- make sure correct grade level is listed
- Manage Applications select:
