2) Judging
This competition will be judged using the international judging system.
3) Entries
The official entry forms have to be used and sent together with the Planned Programme Content sheet to:

3.1
The entries should reach the organiser not later than Monday 2nd September 2016. Please ensure entry is posted in good time, as proof of postage does not imply receipt.
3.2
For UK skaters you must be an eligible member of NISA.
3.3
Entries for individual events will be accepted in order of receipt of application forms and entry fee, and places may be limited due to ice time available. Cheques/Postal orders to be made payable to “Skate Southern” with competitor’s name and competition entered on reverse. A separate entry form is required for each class entered.
3.4
Where only one competitor enters an event, the referee may set a standard to be achieved for the medal to be awarded. The competitor in that event will be notified and given the option to either skate or to withdraw.
3.5
All Competitors must be ready to skate at least half an hour before the time stated on the timetable. The timetable on the web site will only be a provisional one and will be subject to change.
3.6
If any of the categories are over subscribed they will be divided by age using date of birth.
3.7
The Skate Southern Committee reserve the right to refuse entry without reason.
3.8
Withdrawals after the closing date will not be refunded, the “SkateSouthern” Committee decision is final.
3.9
The cost for all events is £50.00 each. Unless entering both the Short and Free programme competition, of the Advanced Novice, Junior or Senior events, in which case the cost is at a discounted rate of £80.00. All fees should be paid in Pounds Sterling. All overseas payments to be made by electronic bank transfer (see details below)

4) Practice Ice
There will be no practice ice time at this event.
5) Music
All competitors shall furnish competition music of excellent quality on CD format only. All discs must show the exact running time when submitted at the time of registration. Each programme (Short/Free) must be recorded on one track and on a separate disc. The discs must show the competition event, competitor’s name and their nationality. All music can be picked up from the registration desk at the end of the event.
6) Planned Programme Content
The Planned Programme Content Sheet must be sent with the entry form. It is mandatory that the Planned Programme Content Sheet be filled in precisely by each skater in English using the terminology for the elements listed in respective ISU Communication.
7) Accreditation
The official accreditation will be available at the ice rink upon arrival.
8) Presentation Of Medals
The first three best-placed competitors in each event will be announced and honoured with a medal.
9) Insurance / Liability
In accordance with ISU Rule 119, it is the sole responsibility of each Member participating in the Skate Southern, to provide medical and accident insurance for their athletes, officials and all other members of the member’s team. Such insurance must assure full medical attendance and also the return to the home country by air transport or by other expeditious means of the ill or injured person.
The Organiser assumes no responsibility for or liability with respect to bodily or personal injury or property damage incurred in connection incurred by Competitors or Officials, Limited to the extent permitted by the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977
10) List of competitors and Timetable
The list of skating competitors and a provisional timetable will be on our website as soon as possible after the closing date. Please don’t call about this as it will be done as soon as possible. www.SkateSouthern.co.uk
11) Hotels
A list of hotels can be found on our website as above.
12) Meals, Lodgings and Travel Expenses
The organiser will provide and cover the expenses for travel, rooms and meals for participating accepted Judges and invited Officials. The organiser will not provide and cover the expenses for travel, rooms and meals for accepted competitors, or their coaches.
13) General Information
13.1
The Skate Southern Committee reserves the right to cancel, combine or add events to the final competition list subject to entries. Full refunds will be made to all competitors not offered entry.
13.2
Competitors and coaches are requested to read the Technical Requirements for the events carefully. These have been set according to published ISU 2016/2017 regulations for competitions and championships
13.3
Any photography is NOT permitted on or off the ice during competitions. Anyone breaking this regulation will be asked to leave the rink complex and will not be permitted to return.
13.4
All skaters will be filmed for IJS.
13.5
Test passes for UK skaters will only be considered after the event when all checks by NISA have been made.
13.6
Entry is conditional upon acceptance of these general rules and regulations.
