Progressivism Dinner Party Project
Directions: Students will be placed in small groups of no more than 6. Each group will be tasked with creating a guest list and seating chart for a dinner party involving people of the Progressive Movement.
- Choose 10 people from the provided list that we have discussed in class.
- Place each person at a specific spot at the table
- Choose a style table and discuss where you wish each of your guests to sit and why.
- Your choice of table can express your groups desire for all to be heard or that small conversations are being held at the same time.

- Write 5 conversations that may be held at the dinner table.
- Each person must be involved in at least one of the 5 conversations. However, they all may be involved in each as well.
- Make sure to explain aspects of progressivism and how different movements may be interconnected.
- Write about why at least 3 people were not invited to the party. Be sure to explain your reasons for not involving them as it relates to your conversations.
