Southwest Spaghetti Pie
8 ounces spaghetti, cooked 1/2 t. cumin
1/2 c. milk 1/2 t. oregano
1 egg 1/2 t. salt
1 lb. Ground beef 1/4 t. pepper
1 medium onion, chopped 2 c. tomato sauce
1 medium green bell pepper, chopped 1 c. shredded Monterey
1 large clove garlic, minced Jack cheese w/peppers
1 tsp. Chili powder 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
Combine hot drained spaghetti, milk and egg in bowl; mix well. Spread in
Buttered 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Brown ground beef with onion, green pepper and garlic in large skillet; drain. Add seasonings. Cook for 2 minutes. Stir in tomato sauce. Cook for 2 minutes. Spread over spaghetti. Sprinkle with cheeses. Bake at 425 degrees in lower third of oven for 10 minutes or until bubbly and cheese melts. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving. Yield: 6 servings
Taco Casserole
1 pound ground beef
8 oz. can tomato sauce
8 oz. can water
1 pkg. Taco seasoning
1 chopped onion
1/2 chopped green pepper
2 tomatoes, wedged
4 oz. cheddar cheese
1 bag Dorito chips
Brown meat, drain. Add tomato sauce and 1 can of water, seasoning, onions, and green pepper. Simmer 15 minutes. Line 8 x 8" pan with chips. Pour in meat mixture, top with tomatoes, rest of chips and then cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
Mostaccioli
1 ½ to 2 lbs. Ground beef Garlic salt to taste
1/2 c. chopped onion Salt and pepper to taste
2 8oz. Cans tomato sauce 16 oz. mostaccioli
1 6 oz. Can sliced mushrooms 4 oz. Swiss cheese, cubed
1 10 oz. Can Cheddar cheese soup 8 oz. Mozzarella cheese
Brown ground beef with onion in skillet, stirring until crumbly; drain. Add tomato sauce, mushrooms, soup, garlic salt, salt and pepper. Simmer for 15 minutes, stirring frequently. Cook pasta using package directions; drain. Combine ground beef sauce, pasta and Swiss cheese in bowl, mix well. Cut 2 oz. Mozzarella cheese into long thin slices; cut remaining 6 oz. Mozzarella cheese into cubes. Add cheese cubes to pasta mixture; mix well. Spoon into large casserole. Top with slices of mozzarella cheese. Bake, covered, at 425 degrees for 20 minutes or until cheese is melted. Yield: 6 servings.
Mexi-Chili Mac Spicy Seasoning Mix
1 pound ground beef 3 T. chili powder
1/2 cup chopped green pepper 2 t. ground cumin
1/4 cup chopped onion 1 1/2 t. garlic powder
1 clove garlic, crushed 3/4 t. dried oregano leaves
1 can (14.5 oz.) Mexican-style 1/2 t. ground red pepper
diced tomatoes, undrained
1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
3/4 cup water
3/4 cup elbow macaroni
2 teaspoons Spicy Seasoning Mix
1/2 teaspoon salt
1. In 3-quart saucepan, brown ground beef, bell pepper, onion and garlic over medium heat 8 to 10 minutes or until the beef is no longer pink, breaking up into 3/4-inch crumbles. Pour off drippings.
2. Stir in remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil; reduce heat to low. Cover tightly and simmer 15 minutes. Remove from heat, cover and let stand 5 minutes before serving.
Hamburger Stroganoff
1 lb. Hamburger
1 medium onion
1/4 c. margarine
2 T. flour
1 t. salt
1 t. garlic salt
1/4 t. pepper
1 can mushroom stems (4 oz.) drained
1 can condensed cream of chicken soup
1 c. dairy sour cream
1 -3 cups hot cooked noodles
Cook and stir hamburger and onion in margarine in 10 inch skillet until hamburger is light brown. Stir in flour, salt, garlic, pepper and mushrooms. Cook, stirring constantly, 5 minutes. Stir in soup. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly; reduce heat. Simmer uncovered 10 minutes. Stir in sour cream; heat through. Serve over hot noodles and, if desired sprinkle with snipped parsley.
Lasagna Pizza
1 box hot roll mix (Pillsbury)
2 T. dry spaghetti sauce
1 lb. Ground beef
1 can tomato sauce
1 cup cottage cheese
Parmesan cheese
2 cups mozzarella cheese
Mix dry hot roll mix and dry spaghetti sauce. Add water according to directions. Spread on pizza pan. Brown beef and drain. Add tomato sauce and remaining spaghetti powder. Spread cottage cheese on crust. Cover with beef mixture. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake 20 minutes at 400 degrees. Remove from oven, add mozzarella cheese and cook an additional 8 minutes.
20 Minute Baked Lasagna
Sauce
1/2 # Ground Beef, cooked and drained of fat
Add: 1 pkg. spaghetti dry sauce mix
1 6 oz. can tomato sauce
1 16 oz. can whole tomatoes, crushed
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
Bring to a boil- boil one minute- turn down to simmer
Assemble lasagna in 9” x 13” glass pan
DO NOT COOK LASAGNA NOODLES
Pour enough sauce in baking pan to thinly cover bottom.
Layer: Noodles
¼ of the cottage cheese (8 oz.)
¼ of the meat sauce
¼ of the mozzarella cheese (8 oz.)
1 tablespoon parmesan
Sprinkle or spread evenly
Repeat layering
Repeat once more- end with cheese on top.
Put plastic wrap tightly over top. Bake on high in microwave for 20 minutes.
Cut and serve.
Should set 5 minutes to cool before cutting.
