Partners IN Salford bring together the council, the health service, the police, local colleges, the faith communities, local people from the community and many, many more all working together towards one vision:

“Our vision for Salford is to create a City where people chose to live and work. We aim to improve the quality of life of all our citizens by creating an economically prosperous City with a buoyant and competitive economy; creating and maintaining strong, safe, healthy and sustainable communities where all citizens can participate to the fullest extent in decisions which affect their communities; providing a better education for all, to enable children and young people to thrive and fulfil their potential; creating a City that is good to live in by providing quality homes and a clean and healthy environment.”

Partners IN Salford Vision

Partners IN Salford has a publication called the Community Plan. It is made up of 7 themes that show how the partnership is making a difference in many ways. This leaflet shows you how the council is contributing to each of these themes.

The City Council’s Cabinet have identified three main activities that will help us to achieve in all our themes and bring us closer to both the mission of the council and the vision of the partnership. These are:

1.  Matching services to the needs of the people

2.  Increasing councillor and public participation in the decision making that affects their areas

3.  Raising the profile of the city
