I. Please write brief essays answering each of the following:

  1. Consider a time when you reached out to help another person, or a time when you failed to help someone who needed your help. Briefly describe that situation and what you learned from it.

2. Consider a time that you were involved in a group in which the physical conditions or group dynamics were less than desirable. What was your role in the situation? How did you handle it?

3. Explain why you wish to be apart of a Hendrix-Lilly Mission Trip this year. Why will a week of service work be meaningful for you? What do you hope to offer?

II. Please provide two letters of recommendation: one from a non-Hendrix associate who is familiar with your character and goals (cannot be a family member), and one from a Hendrix faculty or staff (freshmen may substitute a letter from a high school teacher or counselor). It is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to see that your recommenders send us their letters by the deadline; we will not trace these down for you, and we will NOT consider your application without recommendations.

IV. Please complete the Confidential Information Waiver!
