**question from a parent re: spending non-gaming funds ---perhaps a wish list from teachers (books, jerseys, pop up tent/sign for Irvine – not classroom supplies) and parents (survey of wishes) could be put forth at the next PAC meeting. / Jennifer Darling
20 minutes / Principal’s Report – dates and events, updates
Collaborative decision making committee (CMDC) – teacher and principal attend this meeting and feedback from the CMDC is as follows:
·  Sports equipment respectfully acknowledge the use of equipment but unable to monitor sign in and sign out during lunch hours (lunch is a duty free time therefore difficult to manage during this time) and they also feel the children are being respectful as appropriate for their age. Appreciative of the equipment.
·  Recycling – appreciative of support from PAC. Happy with current situation.
·  KM Club – respectfully decline to have a KM Club assembly during school time.
Other items:
*Pink Shirts – coming home tomorrow. Unfortunately a wrong shirt was ordered by the project coordinator.
*Jump rope for Heart Day - March 10
*Assembly - next week
*Assembly May Pole dance assembly (dance group coming to present) Gr 3 and 4. Grade 5’s and Gr 1 and 2’s are normally part of a parade but not this year.

New Business:
Fundraising opportunity – Read a Thon using Chimp (social fundraising platform) Students read 15 minutes each evening, parents log the reading, then as children read more, family and community can donate. Non-competitive as the goal is to raise money is for the whole school community.
** NOTES: all donations done online. 97.5% of funds given directly to school (2.5% is a credit card charge). Other schools are using this once every four years to fund raise. They are accessing partners in the community to help them fund-raise a large amount for the library.
No proposal put forth, but perhaps an idea for next year. / Brenda
