General Description
The Bar Tender receives his direct orders from the Restaurant Manager
To provide friendly, efficient and professional service and cleanliness in the Bar, Lounge,
Patio Lounge and on the sun deck to the maximize guest satisfaction with adherence to the GRC standards and procedures
Responsibilities
1. Responsible for the entire Bar and Lounges area
2. Co - responsible for the implementation and maintaining of the GRC standards and budgets in the Bar an Lounges
3. Responsible for the preparation and the daily set up( mise-en-place), as well as the professional preparation of listed beverages
4. Realization of beverage orders in cooperation with the Restaurant manager
5. Responsible for checking all delivered supplies for the bar department
6. Responsible for the correct storing of the bar stock
7. Responsible for the professional service of beverages and/ or food in the bar, lounges and sun deck
8. Responsible for continuous cost controlling in the bar department
9. Responsible for cleanness, tidiness and hygiene of the entire bar and lounge including directed parts of the sundeck, back office, pantries and workrooms
10. Responsible for the cleaning of the glassware, china and bar cutlery
11. Responsible for the correct monthly stock taking of all bar inventory as per company directories
12. Responsible for daily cashing up of the generated revenue in the bar
13. He / she is able to provide full beverage service according to the GRC standards
14. He / she is familiar with all beverages, ingredients and recipes of all drinks
Additional duties
1. Greeting and welcoming the guests in the bar and lounges
2. Cooperation with loading of ship supplies
3. Active hosting of passengers in order to obtain feedback, as to generate revenue in the outlets by active sales and recommendations
4. Cooperation with F & B activities (cocktails, welcome and farewell parties, afternoon tea etc.)as well al special functions
5. Encourage internal communication through a proactive attitude between the departments
6. Cooperation in luggage handling
7. Cooperation in other departments if necessary
8. Participation in the on board training program
9. Participation in the daily briefing and all other scheduled meetings
10. Participation in all kind of safety drill according to the captains order
11. Any kind of complain or special request has to reported to the Restaurant Manager immediately
12. All defected equipment and property in his/her work area to be reported to the Restaurant manager
