Korg’s Tiny Piano Offers a Fun, Interactive

Musical Experience for Young Children

TOY FAIR 2014, February 16, 2014 – Korg, a worldwide leader in musical instrument technology for over 50 years, is displaying its first music product designed specifically for young children, the Tiny Piano. This miniature digital piano is perfectly sized for young children, with a mini keybed, 25 high-quality, built-in sounds, and a modest volume that’s appropriate for children’s delicate hearing. In addition, it can be used as a song box to play back 50 included songs. Battery-power enables music enjoyment anytime, anywhere.

Tiny Piano looks like a sophisticated, miniature upright piano, and features an easy-to-play, 25-note keyboard. Made of solid wood and available in four colors (white, pink, red, black), it will suit the décor of any child’s room.

A total of 25 built-in sounds include classics found in a wide array of popular songs: grand piano, electric piano, organ, bells, and more. Novelty sounds such as music box and toy piano are also included. Children can use the built-in sounds to learn about different instruments as they play. The pitches and tones are reliable and accurate, via a sound engine developed by the same Korg engineers who have produced high-quality professional instruments for over 50 years.

Tiny Piano also contains 50 demo songs in a wide range of styles. The songs, which can be triggered with a single note, provide not only examples of skillful performances for children to experience, but also enjoyable background music. Children can change the sounds featured in each song to suit their taste.

In addition to built-in speakers, Tiny Piano also offers a mono headphone jack and adjustable volume. It can be powered by six AA batteries (approximately 15 hours) or the included AC adaptor. The lightweight Tiny Piano weighs in at just 10.36 pounds, and also offers a space-saving footprint: 15.08 × 10.16 × 11.10 inches.

The Korg Tiny Piano will be available February 2014 for a U.S. Street price of $249.99.
