The advisory board to The BioLayne Foundation will accept and review applications presented to the board by recipient organizations on behalf of student grant applicants. Applications for consideration will be accepted between June 30th and July 15th. Award determination will be made by the board,and organizations notified of disbursement requirements by August 15th. Once awarded, funds may be used for tuition assistance, graduate student support fees, professional travel, research, and lab equipment.
Commitment to Physique and Resistance Training
Please write a statement demonstrating the applicant’s passion and commitment to the betterment of physique and resistance training as it relates to the strength sports, i.e. Bodybuilding and/or Powerlifting.
Scope of Work
Please provide detailed research information including introduction & hypothesis, materials and methods, anticipated results, and discussion of those results along with a rough outline of expected expenses.
Deliverable Materials
Please include information pertaining to what abstracts, scientific papers, and conferences the applicant would plan to present this research in/at. A stipulation of this grant is presentation for at least one scientific conference and an abstract for a fully published paper.
Career Goals
Please write an essay, in 300 words or less, explaining career goals and how the scholarship will help further those goals.
Letters of Recommendation
Please include two letters of recommendation, including contact information, from individuals who can speak to the applicant’s dedication to fitness and academic ability.
