Rotary Meeting Held 02/08/17

Chairman Wayne welcomed everyone tonight including our speaker Mike Smith and introduced President John.

Wayne gave us the 4 Way Test.

Janelle Brooks gave apologies Francis, Wendy and Phil.

Wendy has been listening to our Meeting Recordings.

Welfare from Barry and Lee. Birthdays Lorelle, Colin and Robin. Happy Birthday to you all.

Lee also did a follow up from the bushfires they had around their area and some of the problems people are still having.

Our guest Speaker Mike Smith spoke to us a bit on the Henley on Todd What is involved and what they would like help with and how things will work ie a parade through town, the race and then the war. Should all be fun.

Greg then spoke on Membership and Extension.

He spoke about the importance of Membership in the club and then asked people for ideas on getting Members. There was a lot of interest.

We had a Self Introduction from Sue St Clair. She gave us a bit of an insight into her life and her involvement with rotary.

President’s Prattle not much tonight as we ran low on time.

General Business

Lorelle spoke briefly about Rypen and Ryla and us sposoring someone to go to one of these. A couple of people requested more info to follow up with.

Geoff spoke about the Brisbane Billy cart race to see if there was any interest in helping out.

Camilla gave a quick talk on the Book Club which is held on Zoom on the Tuesday night before the meeting.

Dennis Wade did Jokers Wild.

!st out was Phil Hughes but I missed his card.

2nd out was Bob Lemon with the 6 of spades.
