JOB TITLE: Induction Officer

Position Summary

The Induction Officer will be responsible for the organisation and delivery of a high quality, professional standard, interesting valuable induction and initial assessment process for all learners entering Springboard programmes.The Induction Officer will support other staff to monitor the progress of new starters over the first few weeks of their programme.

The Induction Officer will have a key role in ensuring that learners starting the programme have a full understanding of expectations of the programme and of support, advice and guidance available to them. The Induction Officer will be flexible, innovative and able to work with other members of Springboard staff. Communication skills at a very high level are important in this role.

The Induction Officerwill be part of the Operations Team, based at Springboard’s head office in Pallion butthe role will require travel across its bases in the North East.

Salary range: £21332 - 23110

Hours: 37 hours per week

Contract Term: Non temporary

Location: Sunderland

Leave: 25 days per annum, pro rata, subject to local conditions, plus statutory holidays

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

  • Organise and deliver an induction package relative to the needs of the learners including health and safety, safeguarding, equality, diversity and British Values as well as other matters relevant to an effective training provision
  • Organise, develop and deliver appropriate, affective initial assessments in conjunction with the maths and English Lead and Head of Operations
  • Complete all induction paperwork in a timely manner and to a very high standard
  • Liaise with Springboard staff regarding induction and any support needs
  • Assist with the development of new initiatives as part of Springboard ongoing commitment to quality and progress
  • Carry out duties in accordance with Quality Systems and Procedures as currently in force throughout Springboard Sunderland
  • Ensure the operation of efficient and safe training environments within the guidelines of Springboard Sunderland's Health and Safety Policy and Equal Opportunities Policy and with due regard for the health, safety and welfare of all Assisting in marketing and promotion of other Springboard programmes
  • Undertake other such duties which are commensurate with the post as may be required from time to time, by the Chief Executive or other Springboard Managers
