With the arrest of notorious Burglar Tarak Chaudhary @ Raju @ Jatin s/o Chandan Chaudhry R/o B-513 Moladband Gautampuri, Badarpur, Delhi aged 27 years, South-East Distt. police has worked out a case of house theft and recovered the stolen Laptop.

Team and Investigation:-

On 9.6.13 HC Dinesh received a secret information that one person namely Tarak Chaudhary who is a resident of Gautampuri, Badarpur and had been arrested many times in the cases of thefts, will come at Tempo Stand Pusta Road, Jaitpur near Kalindi Kunj in order to sell stolen laptop.

The information was further conveyed to Insp. AATS. Sh. Jagdish Yadav, who directed to take necessary action in this regard.

A team in the leadership of Insp AATS consisting of SI Ahtesham Abbas, HC Dinesh, Ct. Deepchand and Ct. Varun was constituted which apprehended the accused mentioned above while he was in possession of one stolen Laptop and mobile phone. The recovered articles were later on found stolen from the area of PS Jaitpur vide FIR No. 110/13 u/s 380 IPC.

A Case vide FIR No 02/13 dt 01.01.13 u/s 406/420/120 B IPC PS EOW was registered on the complaint of a Delhi based businessman. It was alleged that in December 2010, the accused persons approached the Complainant Company M/s Blue Coast Infrastructure Development Pvt. Ltd. based in Delhi and represented themselves to be consultants who would help the Complainant Company in obtaining loan of Rs.1000 (One thousand) Crores. The Complainant was taken to Chennai for meeting with Tamil actor Dr. S Srinivasan @ Power star. The complainant met Tamil actor Dr. Srinivasan @ Power star at the office of actor’s proprietorship concern M/s Baba Trading Company in Chennai. Dr. Srinivasan @ Power star even showed the Bank statements of M/s Baba Trading Company maintained with SBI Anna Nagar Branch, Chennai where the balance in the account was more than Rs.1000 Crores. As per condition of disbursing loan of Rs. 1000 crores, the Complainant Company was required to pay upfront payments of Rs.5 Crores. The upfront payment of Rs. 5 crores was proposed to be used by the lender (Actor) for purchase of special adhesive stamp calculated @0.50% of the loan amount of Rs. 1000 crores. The Complainant Company even paid Rs.5 crores by a bank draft towards the refundable processing fee and a loan agreement was entered into on 24/12/2010 between M/s Baba trading Company and the Complainant Company for disbursing a loan of Rs.1000 crores on or before 31 Jan, 2011. The actor had issued PDC of Axis Bank against the Payments of Rs.5 crores. However, he neither arranged the loan nor returned the amount of Rs. 5 crores to Complainant.

Investigation:-

The investigation of the case was taken up by the Anti Fraud and Cheating section of EOW and after investigations the accused Dr. S. Srinivasan was arrested. Accused was found involved in several other cases and had cheated many other victims following the same modus operandi. During investigations it was found that the accused had used the cheated amount in the film production. The end use of money is being ascertained alongwith the roles of the other co-accused persons.

Profile of the accused :

Dr.S Srinivasan ( age 52 years) s/o Late R. Somasundram r/o F-82/1, Second Street Anna Nagar, Chennai popularly known as “Power Star”. Srinivasan is a Tamil film actor, Director and producer. He is also an Acupuncture Doctor by profession. He has acted in as many as 12 Tamil Films namely Lathika, Anand Thullai, Laddoo, Indrasena etc. He has also produced four Tamil films under his own production banner of “Lathika films”. The accused is involved in nine cases of cheating and criminal intimidation registered against him and being investigated in Delhi and Central Crime Branch, Chennai.

Modus Operandi:

The accused was the kingpin of an organized network of cheats who induce companies/individuals through local contacts on the pretext of giving loans. After getting trapped, the accused laid down his own terms and conditions on the victims for the disbursement of the loan or advance amount. He had taken Rs. 5 crores from the complainant as upfront payment in lieu of sanctioning a loan amount of Rs. 1000 crores. To win over the confidence of the victim he entered into a MOU dt. 24/12/2010 for disbursing a loan of Rs.1000 crores on or before 31 Jan, 2011. The accused Actor, issued PDC of Axis Bank against the Payments of Rs.5 crores as a guarantee. But he neither arranged the loan nor returned the amount of Rs. 5 crores to Complainant as promised.

Investigation of the case is in progress.

NOTORIOUS AUTO LIFTER ARRESTED

The staff of PS Rani Bagh of North West District has arrested a notorious auto lifter namely Sumit s/o Ganga Saran r/o Village Bhadrolla, PS Nathasa, District Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh. With his arrest, five incidents of motor vehicle theft have been solved and six stolen electric scooty have been recovered.

INCIDENT, TEAM & ARREST:

In order to check the increasing incidents of motor vehicle theft in the area of P.S. Rani Bagh, a dedicated team of SI Haroon Ahmad, SI Rajdeep Singh No. D-5082, HC Narrender 217/NW, HC Sahan Singh 208/NW, Ct. Naushad 2558/NW and Ct. Rajkumar No. 1022/NW under the supervision of Inspr. Dheeraj Narang (SHO Rani Bagh) and under overall supervision of ACP/Saraswati Vihar Sh. Ashish Anan was constituted. On 8.6.13, an electrical scooty was stolen from Mahindra Park, Rani Bagh. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No.190/13 dated 8.6.13 u/s 379 IPC was registered. During the course of investigation, secret information was received that the scooty was stolen by a sweeper and was taken to Bhadrola Village in Sambhal Distt, UP. This information was primarily developed by Beat Ct. Rajkumar. Accordingly, the constituted team conducted raids at Sambhal, UP. At the instance of secret informer, accused Sumit was arrested and stolen scooty was recovered from him.

During interrogation, he disclosed his involvement in other cases of auto theft. Further raids were conducted and five more scootys were recovered at his instance. He further disclosed that he was trying to collect atleast ten scootys so that he could sell them to his native villagers by telling them that he has started sale-purchase of second hand scootys which he is buying from a firm in Delhi. After stealing a scooty, he took it to New Delhi Railway Station and then would walk with the stolen scooty and would take lift from any passing by tempo which was going towards his district Sambhal and eventually to his village. He used to pay around Rs. 500/- to the tempo driver.

PROFILE:

Accused Sumit was born and brought up at his native place Sambhal, UP. His father and mother both work as sweeper. On being failed in 10th class, he came to Delhi two years back and started residing with his uncle at Holmbi Kalan, Delhi. His classmate Guddu used to work in Fortis Hospital, Shalimar Bagh as a sweeper and he helped him to get a job as a sweeper in the same hospital. After one year, he started as sweeper with Bitoo Tikey Wala, Rani Bagh. Due to need of money, he stated stealing scootys because for selling the same there was no need of documents.

RECOVERY:

Six scootys and a bent screw driver

Further investigation of the case is on.

DELHI POLICE CONSTABLE SHOT BY DESPERATE CRIMINAL TRYING TO FOIL CRIME OF SNATCHING

In order to reduce the incident of snatching, strategic deployment of staff on the pickets and barricades in the area of Narela and Alipur was made on the vulnerable and crime prone areas. During the checking around 1:30 P.M., Ct. Satender, Ct. Kishore and Ct. Prabhat while patrolling in the area of PS Narela, discovered that a suspicious person was running away on a motor-cycle along with a snatched chain of a person. The name of person whose chain was snatched is Mr. Umesh Gupta. On getting suspicious, the beat staff tried to stop him but the accused didn’t stop and ran away. Reacting swiftly, the alerted beat staff put down their motor-cycle in front of him but the accused left his motor-cycle and started running on foot.

In the meantime, Ct. Satender tried to catch him by grabbing the back side of collar of the accused and tried to over power him. But in the process, the accused fired at Ct. Satender and a bullet hit on the neck of Ct. Satender. Ct. Satender was rushed to the nearby Raja Harish Chandra Hospital by Ct. Prabhat while Ct. Kishore kept on chasing the assailant despite knowing the risk of being fired upon.

To evade arrest, the assailant fired couple of rounds aiming at Constable Kishore. Ct. Kishore also fired a few rounds to deter his escape. Ct. Kishore kept on chasing the assailant for around 1 km and the accused took shelter in dilapidated building in area of Pocket-1, Sector A9, Narela near State Bank of Hyderabad. In the meantime, when SHO Narela and ACP Alipur gathered to see Ct. Satender in Raja Harish Chander Hospital where primary medical care was being given to Ct. Satender, Ct. Kishore gave a telephone call to nearby patrolling beat staff around and also gave a call to SHO/Narela on his phone. ACP/Alipur, SHO Narela and other staff of the surrounding Police Stations of the Outer District also rushed to the spot immediately and cornered the assailant in that building. The assailant who was later identified as Kuldeep s/o Bal Kishan r/o Village Bakner, Narela fired at the police staff but finding no options of running away as he was surrounded from all sides by police teams, fired a bullet from his country-made pistol on his temple. Immediately, he was rushed to the nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead.

Ct. Satender, in the meantime, was rushed to Max Hospital, Shalimar Bagh who is battling for his life.

Kuldeep @ Khati s/o Sh. Bal Kishan r/o Vill. Bal Kishan has 9 cases registered against him and he is a known BC of PS Narela. The motor-cycle recovered from Kuldeep is also found to be stolen. The weapon recovered from accused is a country-made pistol (.32 bore).
