Instructions for filling up Academic Performance Indicators (APIs) score for (Assistant Professor / Sports Officer and equivalent under Physical Education)

INSTRUCTIONS

(1) / Candidate should read carefully the API scoring system before filling up the API score in the prescribed format.
(2) / Candidates who fulfil the minimum API score required will be considered eligible for Assistant Professor Physical Education (Sr. Scale) / Sports Officer / PTI (Sr. Scale) under CAS.
A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) is based on UGC Regulations on minimum qualifications for appointment of teachers and other academic staff in Universities and Colleges and measures for the maintenance of standards in higher education-2010.
(3) / Candidate shall have to furnish details of activities in the three categories as the case may be,
(4) / Candidate shall mention the score/marks (self-assessment) in each column of the category, even if exceeds the maximum score in the respective column / category.
(5) / The details of activities shall have to be furnished year wise for the entire assessment period. For example the assessment period of Assistant Professor, Physical Education for Sr. Scale is 6 years, therefore the details should be for the 6 years.
(6) / Candidate shall mention the score/marks (self-assessment) in each column of the category, based on the truthful data and the evidences / certificates and other supporting documents certified and endorsed by the Associate Dean.
(7) / The PBAS format should be sent only in computer typewritten form. Hand written PBAS or PBAS in any other format will not be accepted. All formats are in tables and hence candidate may add rows in the PBAS format at relevant places while filling up.
(8) / Candidates should furnish only one copy of the API score calculations and summary (Table 2 to Table 11) along with application form.
(9) / The data for Category I, II and III should be provided only for the assessment period.
(10) / If the candidate has performed any other activities and not been coveredin the above mentioned I, II and III, categories, it should be mentioned separately and explained clearly to support the candidature. Proof in the support of the claim must be submitted and verified by the concerned authority.
(11) / Applicant who was on maternity leave during the assessment period may also clearly mention same in the format for category I and Category II along with copy of leave approval letter. The screening committee shall decide on points with the approval of competent authority of the University.
(12) / For publications, provide only the first page. If you claim as the corresponding author, it should be mentioned clearly in the publications itself. Else, the claim will not be considered.
(13) / Every page of PBAS should be signed by the applicant
(14) / Candidate should submit documentary proof or the certificate verified by the Associate Dean.
(15) / The application received by the college shall be scrutinized by ‘Internal Quality Assessment Cell’ to be constituted at College level with regard to verification of documents, weightage claimed and total score and shall be recommended for further action at University level.
(16) / The University level scrutiny committee shall summarize the proposal and submit the same along with its recommendations and shall take necessary action as per rules and regulations.
