Lastly

Dr. Douglas did not only play an important role in contributing to the life of the United Congregational Church on REGIONAL, SYNODICAL, and DENOMINATIONAL LEVEL, in the past, present and also I believe that he will still be able to contribute, God willing, far into the future. He has also played an important role in giving OUTSTANDING and EXECELLENT service to the life of the community, not only in Pacaltsdorp and George, but also throughout the community life of the Southern Cape especially in the OUTENIQUA REGION.

As School Headmaster of DELVILLE PARK PRIMARY SCHOOL, he developed high Christian moral standards in the life of the school. Many of his Christian values have been inculcated in lives of the community in which he lives and serves.

I have known Dr Douglas since 1982. I met him in January of that year, when I started my ministry in the Outeniqua Region at the George Congregational Church. Throughout the years of my ministry in the Outeniqua Region the two of us have worked closely together. I can think of no better way to bestow an honour on a person, while he is still alive and can still appreciate, for services rendered unto his Master, Christ Jesus and His Church on earth.

I trust that you may find our motivation strong and sufficient enough to have the name

of Dr.ACR Douglas duly recognised and included on the UCCSA Roll of Honour!

Humbly submitted by

Rev. J. Muggels

Regional Secretary
