VTVS2 - Implementing Cisco TelePresence Video Solutions / Duration: 5 days
Overview:
This course covers the technology associated with video conferencing and an introduction to Cisco’s video solution for SIP, TIP and H.323 video communication (formerly called TelePresence). Products included in this training are C-series endpoints, VCS, Cisco Unified Communication Manager (CUCM), MCUs, Conductor, and TelePresence Management Suite (TMS). Participants will gain in-depth practical knowledge with exercises on installing, configuring, maintaining and basic troubleshooting of the equipment. Advanced topics in this course include complex video network environments with firewall traversal, clustering, zoning and subzoning. In addition, students will use functions of the VCS to control access and bandwidth and use transforms, call policy and FindMe. Students will use TMS and VCS to provision SIP video and Jabber Video users, and will use CUCM to provision SIP audio and video. Read on…
Pre-requisites:
Before attending this course, students must have knowledge and experience in:
§  C-Series/SX/EX/MX/VX Endpoints – Touch Panel, Remote
§  Network 101
At Course Completion:
At the end of this course students will be able to install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot a basic Telepresence network including endpoints, MCUs, TMS and VCS. Students will understand advanced features of VCS and will be able to provision H.323, SIP and TIP on the VCS and CUCM Call Manager as appropriate. / Lesson 1: Locate support documentation for Cisco’s video product line
Lesson 2: Configure and troubleshoot Cisco C-Series Codec
Lesson 3: Describe call control protocols for Cisco TelePresence Video Communication Server (VCS), configure SIP and H.323 basic registration capabilities and troubleshoot the Cisco VCS
Lesson 4: Explore advanced VCS features, such as firewall traversal, clustering, zones and subzones, dial plans and security
Lesson 5: Understand basic video communication settings in CUCM
Lesson 6: Configure and troubleshoot Cisco MCUs / Lesson 7: Understand Conductor’s role in MCU management and basic configuration
Lesson 8: Configure and troubleshoot the Cisco TelePresence Management Suite (TMS)
Lesson 9: Use the Cisco Telepresence Management Suite and Cisco TelePresence Communication Server to provision SIP video and Jabber Video clients
Lesson 10: Use CUCM to provision SIP audio and video clients
Lesson 11: TelePresence Content Server (TCS) overview
