Community Advisory Committee (CAC)

Hemet Unified School District is recruiting applicants to represent HUSD on the CAC

To become a member you must:

1.  Be a resident living within the boundaries of Hemet Unified School District.

2.  Be committed to attend the majority of our CAC Board Meetings (approximately six times per year) at the Riverside County SELPA office.

3.  Be approved by our District’s governing board.

This request is in accordance with Riverside County SELPA’s bylaws of the CAC as follows:
3.2  Nomination and Appointment of CAC Members: CAC members shall be appointed by their respective local board of education, said appointments to be made pursuant to E.C. Section 56192.

The community advisory committee shall be composed of parents of individuals with exceptional needs enrolled in public or private schools, parents of other pupils enrolled in school, pupils and adults with disabilities, regular education teachers, special education teachers and other school personnel, representatives of other public and private agencies, and persons concerned with the needs of individuals with exceptional needs.
