Welland Valley FC Summer Tournament
Sunday 6th July 2014
Welland Valley Football Club is pleased to announce their Twelfth Annual Summer Tournament.
We would like to invite your team to this Tournament. It will be held once again at Wootton Brook, the home of Welland Valley FC. This year’s Tournament will offer mini soccer, 9 a-side and 11 a-side football.
Under 8s and Under 9s will be non-competitive and will play in a league with no winners and no losers. Every player in the Under 8s and Under 9s will receive a medal for taking part in the Tournament.
A Team Cup will be presented to the winning team in each age group and every player in the Final will receive a trophy.
The Committee wishes to make the Tournament an enjoyable occasion for players, coaches and spectators and a great day’s football. Refreshments will be available throughout the day including a BBQ, tea/coffee, cakes and sweets, plus some other side stalls.
Entrance fee is £40 per team for 9 a-side and 11 a-side football and £30 per team for mini-soccer. The closing date for applications is 31st May 2014 but it is likely the Tournament will be oversubscribed so please apply early to avoid disappointment. No entries will be accepted without full payment.
The participating age groups will be as follows:-
Under 8s will be 5 a-side(currently 2013-2014 season U7s)
Under 9s will be 5 a-side(currently 2013-2014 season U8s)
Under 10s will be 7 a-side(currently 2013-2014 season U9s)
Under 11s will be 9 a-side *(currently 2013-2014 season U10s)
Under 12s will be 9 a-side(currently 2013-2014 season U11s)
Under 13s will be 11 a-side**(currently 2013-2014 season U12s)
Under 14s will be 11 a-side(currently 2013-2014 season U13s)
Under 15s will be 11 a-side(currently 2013-2014 season U14s)
The age groups are as per the 2014-2015 season.
*This age group is the 2014-2015 season’s Under 11s age group. Please indicate on the Entry Form your acceptance of playing 9 a-side football before the start of the 2014-2015 season.
**This age group is the 2014-2015 season’s Under 13s age group teams. Please indicate on the Entry Form your acceptance of playing 11 a-side football before the start of the 2014-2015 season
Under 8s and Under 9s may have up to 10 players per squad.
Under 10s may have up to 12 players per squad.
Under 11s and Under 12s may have up to 14 players per squad.
Under 13s, Under 14s and Under 15s may have up to16 players per squad.
Please register each Team your Club wishes to enter on the attached Team Entry Form and return it to us with the entrance fee as soon as possible. Places fill up very fast so teams will be entered on a first come first served basis.
