Target Audience

This program has been designed for physicians, fellows, residents, medical students, and medical technicians in the medical specialties of internal medicine, hematology/oncology, and pathology.

Series Educational Objectives

After completing this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Identify basis concepts and controversies in hematopathology and allied fields (hematology/oncology, flow cytometry, molecular diagnostics, cytogenetics) and apply recently published data to these cases
  • Identify inappropriately diagnosed hematologic malignancies and employ emerging diagnostic recommendations to improve standard-of-care
  • Integrate emerging diagnostic testing modalities in hematopathology
  • Employ effective multidisciplinary collaboration to improve patient care
