Requirements and Policies

Boarding

*All dogs must have up-to-date vaccinations-DHLPP/Bordetella and Rabies. Owner/guardian’s responsibility to provide on-going verification of current vaccinations.

*All dogs at Zorro’s FUNzone must be healthy and free of any contagious illnesses. If your pet is exhibiting any symptoms that may suggest illness such as sneezing, coughing, wheezing, runny eyes or nose, vomiting, lethargy, or diarrhea, we will not be able to admit them at Zorro’s. We are happy to refer ill dogs to local veterinarians that board pets.

*If a dog becomes ill or if the state of the dog’s health otherwise requires professional attention, Zorro’s will attempt to contact the Owner/guardian in order to discuss treatment of the dog and/or call your veterinarian. Zorro’s may engage the services of a veterinarian or administer medicine or give other required attention to the dog, all expenses to be paid by Owner/guardian.

*All dogs must be on an active flea and tick preventative. Dogs with fleas or tick problems will be bathed at the owner’s expense.

*All dogs must be non-aggressive and not food or toy protective.

*Aggressive dogs are not permitted at Zorro’s FUNzone . Owner/guardian will need to certify that their dog(s) have not harmed or shown any aggression or threatening behavior towards any person or any other dogs.

*Boarded dogs will be fed a high-quality healthy dog food. If you are feeding your dog a certain food, please bring it in a re-sealable container or bag, as changing food can cause severe upset stomach in some dogs.

*Zorro’s will give all non-injectable medications as specified. Please make sure all medication is clearly labeled and dosage instructions included.

*Zorro’s will provide quality and reasonable care for dogs left in its care. Owner/guardian of dog agrees that Zorro’s staff and volunteers will not be held liable for any problems or injuries that may occur while the dog is in the care of Zorro’s provided reasonable care and precautions are followed by Zorro’s staff/volunteers. *Owner/guardian of dog is solely responsible for any harm or damage caused by the dog to persons or property of the Owners of Zorro’s, employees, invitees of Zorro’s, or any other pets housed or visiting Zorro’s while the dog is attending Zorro’s FUNzone. Initials ______.

*All dogs must be on a leash when they enter and leave our facility.

*All dogs must have a quick-release collar and ID tag bearing the dog’s name and current contact information.

*Payment is required upon checkout of dog boarding.

Owner/guardian agrees that pet shall not leave Zorro’s FUNzone until all charges are paid to Zorro’s by Owner/guardian.

*Cash, Check, Mastercard/Visa, Discover and American Express are accepted.

*Rates and Fees are subject to change.

*Dogs may be photographed, videotaped, and/or used in any media(facebook) or advertising without prior approval of owner.

Reservations/Cancellations

*Reservations are required for all boarding dogs.

*Current paperwork and vaccination records must be on file at time of boarding.

*Reservations can be made by phone (985)-778-2000 or walk-in.

*A $50 deposit is required for all REGULAR and HOLIDAY boarding reservations, and will be charged at the time of reservation. Holidays are Lundi Gras, Mardi Gras, Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Eve, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. Cancellation must be made at least 5 days prior to scheduled date of arrival to receive a refund. Initials _____.

Bedding and Toys

*Zorro’s provides each overnight guest with comfortable, padded bedding, but you are welcome to bring your dog’s blankie, or article of clothing and any toys your dog may enjoy during his stay. However, please keep in mind that we cannot guarantee that they will be returned in the same condition. Zorro’s cannot accept responsibility for personal items.

Pick up by non-owners

*Zorro’s FUNzone will not release any dog to anyone other than the owner/guardian or person(s) that is listed in our files, unless prior arrangements have been made. Payment is still required at check-out and photo ID will need to be presented.

Failure to pickup

*If Owner/guardian does not pick up dog, or make contact with Zorro’s within 5 calendar days after the day the dog was due to be picked up, the dog is deemed to be abandoned, and necessary steps will be taken to turn the dog over to the proper authorities.

Hurricane Season information

*During Hurricane season, You must provide 3 local emergency contacts who are able to pick up your dog in case of an evacuation. Zorro’s does NOT evacuate dogs in the event of a Hurricane evacuation.
