Dear Falcons, Parents, and Guardians,
We are excited to announce the Falcon’s field trip to Lutherlyn Environmental Center on Tuesday , October 7, 2014. We will leave the middle school at 8:30 and return at 2:10. While we are there, we will participate in a variety of team building activities using both initiative games and elements from their low ropes course. This will provide many opportunities for our students to work in group settings that they may not be accustomed to. This is a valuable part of the learning process and a skill that we want to see our students become more and more comfortable with.
It is very important to dress for the weather since we will spend almost all of our time outside. Temperatures are usually five degrees cooler at Lutherlyn than at school. Also, it is often muddy, so wear shoes with good traction and clothes that can get dirty. Please pack raingear just in case. Also, please note that the Seneca Valley Dress Code Policy is in effect. We will be outside and in the woods so dress intelligently. Read that as warm.
The cost of the trip, including bus transportation, is $16.00 per student. Students also need to bring a lunch with a drink. NO GLASS BOTTLES, PLEASE! Also, gum is not permitted at the facility.
Please read carefully the medication form on the reverse of this sheet and fill it out if necessary. Return the permission slip along with your $16.00 payment by Friday, September 26. If paying by check, make it payable to “SenecaValleyMiddle School.”
