Monday / I can…
·  Define transporation
·  Describe how transporation is used to provide services and goods
·  Explain how transporation effects the economic value of products.
·  Indentify some of the positive and negative impacts of transportation technology
·  Name the parts of a transportation system / Students are researching designs, and will be choosing and drawing final designs today. / Q & A

Tuesday / I can…
·  Define transporation
·  Describe how transporation is used to provide services and goods
·  Explain how transporation effects the economic value of products.
·  Indentify some of the positive and negative impacts of transportation technology
·  Name the parts of a transportation system / Students will start cutting their final designs out as patterns and applying them to their wood blanks. They will use these patterns to cut out the dragster, and then begin refining the shape using sand paper. Over the next few days, students will cut out, refine and test their dragsters. / Q & A

Wednesday / I can…
·  Define transporation
·  Describe how transporation is used to provide services and goods
·  Explain how transporation effects the economic value of products.
·  Recall the 4 forces of aerodynamics
·  Define aerodynamics
·  Describe how the 4 forces affect design and performance characteristics of my dragster
·  Design, create a CO2 dragster
·  Test my dragster and predict its performance based on test data / Cutting, refining dragster bodies / Q & A

·  Describe how the 4 forces affect design and performance characteristics of my dragster
·  Design, create a CO2 dragster
·  Test my dragster and predict its performance based on test data / By today some students may be entering the testing phase of this project. Students will put their cars through 3 different performance tests. These include aerodynamics in the wind tunnel, rolling friction and weight. Students will test and look for ways to refine their designs and an attempt to improve aerodynamic drag and rolling friction. / Q & A
