Community Development:

#11. Award various contracts for homeowners to receive grant assistance from CDBGFY12 home repair activity for home repair assistance which includes a contingency for any unforeseen change orders

1)  KMU Trucking & Excavating, Inc., Avon in amount of $9,735 for Gwen Camel, 6962 Murray Ridge Rd., Elyria Township for septic system replacement. 23 bids were sent, 3 received this being the most responsive complying with specifications.

2)  KMU Trucking & Excavating, Inc., Avon in amount of $10,202 for Betty Lawhorn, 1200 Lake Breeze Rd., Sheffield Village, for septic system replacement. 21 bids were sent, 3 received this being the most responsive complying with specifications.

Job & Family Services:

#12 Authorize purchase of service agreement with JVS for TANF summer youth employment program for low income youth using TANF funds for SFY13/14 in amount of $152,640.46 effective retroactive to June 10, 2013 – September 13, 2013; Authorize Director to amend for changes in programming content and to increase value on behalf of the Board with Prosecutors approval as to form

Engineer:

#13 Accept preliminary terms and conditions set for the in the agreement through ODOT state infrastructure bank for repairs to Redfern Road bridge project in Columbia Township in loan amount of $202,000 which was closed to all through traffic due to failure of the steel beams at west abutment.

#14 Approve amendment to service agreement #3162 with NEORSRD providing for inclusion of Columbia Township to include 24317 Sprague Road

#15. Authorize appropriation of a road right of way pursuant to ORC 163.05 finding of necessity and authorization to take possession and enter upon property for the widening of Griswold Road, Elyria Township and City of Elyria.

1)  #13-016 (12-025) to Consumers Gas Cooperative, Orrville to install gas main for new subdivision off Sprague Rd on north side at 600”-+ west of Mitchell Rd by boring under road from south to north, Columbia Township

2)  #13-017 (12-026) to Consumers Gas Cooperative, Orrville to install a 2” gas main for flow connection by boring under Mitchell Rd the bore is to be 25’+- south of Sprague Rd from west to east, Columbia Township

3)  Columbia Gas of Ohio, Middleburg Hts to install 480’+- of 4” plastic gas main along N. Boone Rd starting at house #12704 and go north on east side of road and capping main, Columbia Twp

4)  Sunoco Pipeline, LP, Philadelphia, PA to do maintenance on high pressure pipeline that crosses under Gore Orphanage at 2,812’+- north of SR18, Brighton Township
