Customer Facing Business Unit (CFBU) Manager – Door Products

POSITION PURPOSE:
The Door Products Customer Facing Business Unit (CFBU) Manager provides leadership and is accountable for the P&L of the portfolio of all AmesburyTruth products sold for use in Hinged and Gliding Door systems inclusive of hardware, seals and thermoplastic extruded products for the North American residential market. The position also develops and executes strategy to position AmesburyTruth as the preferred supplier to the North American Door market for our offering. The role is to be fulfilled in accordance with the company’s strategic plan, financial goals mission, vision and values.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
People:
1)  Continued facilitation of recruiting and selection of candidates that will advance organization in marketplace
2)  Manage the performance of the CFBU Product Managers in accordance with strategic plan and budget expectations
3)  Mentor Product Managers in accordance with their Personal Development Plans
4)  Lead the Product Engineering team in understanding Door market requirements in the context of developing products / service that have perceived value by the target customer
5)  Facilitate continuing education and expertise of our field sales force through product training
Process:
1)  Obtain approval of and establish product development projects, their scope and prioritize them in accordance with our business rules and corporate PDP process
2)  According to our business rules for pricing authority, establish pricing strategy for products and services to maximize profitability and retain customers based on perceived value stack of those products/services. Participate in the development of the associated administrative processes necessary to streamline pricing/quoting procedure to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of human resources affecting price in our systems.
3)  Deliver budget plan and quarterly forecast information on the CFBU portfolio per corporate process
4)  Provide monthly report on CFBU performance to organizational leadership
5)  Develop annually strategic plans for the business unit which supports the overall corporate plan. Effectively reinforce these plans and expected outcome throughout the organization with established metrics (KPIs) that track progress
6)  Utilize the OGSM methodologies for business unit planning, monitoring, project charters (including implementation planning) and product line plans. Utilize OGSM as a filter to weigh all ancillary requests relative to strategic goals
Product/Markets:
1)  Establish product / market segmentation models to identify total and available share, understand opportunities and risks
2)  Evaluate/prioritize CM new product development (NPD) opportunities to facilitate efficiency and ROI associated with the product development process (PDP)
3)  Understand customer needs, industry code requirements and competitive landscape for each segment to develop a strategy to compete
4)  Manage product lifecycle in accordance with this strategy within each segment to ensure optimal portfolio to drive maximum growth and profit
5)  Direct the marketing tools for product portfolio to ensure customer awareness
6)  Successfully market and launch new products being mindful of capacities and existing product impact
7)  Support efforts of manufacturing footprint optimization to ensure we provide the best value to all stakeholders

QUALIFICATIONS / PRIOR EXPERIENCE:
·  Bachelor’s Degree is preferred with marketing and business experience
·  5 - 10 Years of experience in sales, marketing and business development
·  Solid working knowledge of Excel, Word and Powerpoint
