Job Aid –Entering Test Scores Manually
Introduction
Student Test Scores are loaded from test tapes, batch processes, or entered by hand. This job aid is designed to assist users entering test scores by hand. For more detailed information on Oasis Student Test Scores, please refer to the Business Process Guide for Student Record Test Scores.
Certain test scores are used to create Student Milestones that can be used in Course Requirements that control enrollment access to certain classes. The process to convert test scores to milestones is run twice a day. The test score entry is the first step to establish these student milestones.
The test scores used to create milestones are:

Access
In order to enter test results online, you will need to request the following role SR Test Results Update. If you cannot see any Test ID’s when you try to select one, you will need to request Test ID security from the Student Records Data Trustee.

Step 1 – find the Student you are working with
Step 2 – Review Test results for the student
When the student is displayed, they will probably already have test results posted. When first displayed, only the first test is displayed. Use the controls on the grey bar to see all tests.
Click the arrow to view the next test result.
Click View All to view all test results for the student.
If you are adding another component for a test the student already has on file, find that test and use the plus sign in the Test Components section to add another component. Components may be repeated, as long as the test date is different.

If the student has no other component scores for the Test ID use the plus sign in the Test ID section to add a new row and add the Test ID for the Test you want to enter a component score for.
Use the magnifying glass to select the Test ID you want to enter
Note: Checklist item Update is used only by Admissions.
Step 4 – enter test detail
Defaults for components
If you are entering multiple components, you can enter defaults for all of the components. Otherwise you can leave this section blank.
Test Date – enter/select the Test Date
Data Source – for manually entered tests, select ‘School’
Acad Level – enter if know, otherwise select ‘unknown’
Component – use the magnifying glass to select the test component.
For ASUMTH you may select one of the following:
Score – enter the score for the test
Math Placement: 0-150
Calculus: 0-60
%tile – this field is not used at this time.
Test Date, Acad Level, Date Loaded – Enter as directed above, or populated from data entered above
Letter Score – enter if needed – not required
Stnd Admin – applies only to LSAT test
Click save to save the test score.
Multiple Scores for the same test component
You may enter multiple scores for the same test component, but you must enter a unique Test Date for each test component.
English Placement Waiver
Students who have not taken TOEFL, SAT or ACT placement exams may be given a waiver to register for English classes. Use the XACT test ID and enter a score of zero. This will create anEnglish Place Test milestone that will allow them to register for classes without overrides.
The test result should be entered as indicated below (zero score will default to blank on save).
