Evolution and innovation in technology are driving big changes in government, and behind those changes are IT contracts, including in most cases, a software license. Not knowing the terms of these agreements is no defense when a software company believes a customer may be using more licenses than they are paying for, or are using the tool for a purpose they are not allowed to use it according to the license. This session will provide a look at the different types of software licenses, terms and conditions common to software licenses and key issues that procurement managers reviewing and negotiating licenses should know.

What are organizations doing to protect themselves against spearfishing and other malicious cyberattacks? Find out how one company fell victim of a data breach and what they have done since to better protect themselves. You will also learn what tools or best practices you can consider incorporating to try and help avoid your organization experiencing a similar situation. An overview of cyber risk associated with cloud services will also be given.
