Global Data Student Placement Program*6 month (July 2015) - Hong Kong
The Role
Bloomberg Global Data is one of the world's leading sources of data, providing accurate, up-to-the-second insights for highly specialized businesses. You will spend the first week of your placement in training, before being assigned to the Interim Estimates team which is part of the larger Equities team.
Global Data builds and manages information products and content for the Bloomberg Professional service. The Global Data Equities team covers content ranging from IPOs and M&As to Funds, Portfolio Holdings, Company Fundamentals and Analyst Recommendations. The Interim Estimates team is responsible for expanding the depth and breadth of our Earnings Estimates content.
The primary responsibilities of the role will be to liaise with Brokers and Equity Analysts to obtain and update this time-sensitive Forecast data on the Bloomberg Terminal.
We are targeting dedicated, self starting candidates with a passion for the financial markets that with training and development will help drive this product forward. You will be working in a fast-paced environment and the role requires a good eye for detail and the ability to multi task. Excellent communication skills as well as the ability to work well under pressure are essential to be successful in this role, as are superior client service skills.
Bloomberg will provide you an opportunity to explore the other teams in Global Data and have the opportunity to shadow other parts of our businesses to learn more about Bloomberg and the financial markets.
This 6-month Industrial Placement Program will start in July 2015 in Hong Kong.
The Qualifications
- Fluency in English and Mandarin is essential
- Keen interest in information management/technology, product development, and problem-solving
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Time-management skills and ability to work well under pressure
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to be a team player
- Experience in a customer service or call center environment desirable
- Experience/Knowledge of the Financial Markets (Educational or Work experience)
