THIS EVENT IS FREE FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS. WE WELCOME ALL-COMERS, MEMBERS AND NON-MEMBERS.

With key presentations from:

Zoe Jennings, Partnership Manager, London Hydrogen Partnership

The London Hydrogen Economy

This presentation will cover the following:

  • introduce the London Hydrogen Partnership and its structure
  • outline the London Hydrogen Action Plan
  • highlight some of the key initiatives and activities of the partnership
  • discuss how other cities can benefit from the London experience

Zoe has worked in field of Environmental Project Management for eight years, with a particular remit for Energy. She has worked for the London Hydrogen Partnership for six months and is responsible for leading the development and implementation of the London Hydrogen Action Plan and facilitation of partnership projects that demonstrate the viability of hydrogen and fuel cells.

Zoe has experience of delivering multi-faceted projects in partnership with various agencies. Prior to this role she set up and managed the REALISE Network, an EU ICT recycling and training programme, with 25 refurbishers and recyclers in London

Graham Hillier, Director of Fuel Cells Applications, CPI

Progress at The Centre for Process Innovation’s Fuel Cell Application Facility

The presentation will cover the work done at the FCAF in the last year and discuss issues around the adoption of fuel cell technology in the general community.

Introduction to the Proposed UK Hydrogen Association (UKHA)

This will outline the discussions that have been held by an ad hoc group on interested parties that have come together to assess the possibility of creating a UK Hydrogen Association. The presentation will include the proposals to date and the feedback from an open meeting held at the Grove Exhibition.

Graham joined CPI in November 2004 following a distinguished career in business development across the European process industry. Prior to this, he worked in a range of roles from operations management, through business development and was the Director of Strategy and Planning for ICI’s Petrochemicals businesses before joining Corus as Director responsible for it’s £4.3bn sales in to the construction market. He first became interested in ‘new energy’ while chairing a global project on sustainable residential buildings involving companies from Europe, N America, Far East, and India. As a result of this work he decided to change career to help the adoption of these new technologies. As Director of Fuel Cell Applications at the CPI, Graham sees his role as helping to get this efficient low carbon technology applied in everyday applications so that it can create value for the UK economy, but also contribute to security of energy supply and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
