October 2008—Additional Information: PALS

* Crazy Corn Maze- October 6 & 16. The maze is located at Forrest Hall Farm and Orchard in Mechanicsville. The farm offers a five-acre corn maze with more than two

miles of trails, farm animals, and hayrides. Total cost is $6. Please bring dinner from home.

* Dinner & a Movie- Tuesday, October 7. Participants will be watching “Beverly HillsChihuahua,” rated PG. Dinner at Cici’s Pizza; total cost is $16. The price of admission

has increased at the movie theater; please note the new estimated cost of $16.

*Six Flags America: Fright Fest 2008- Saturday, October 11. TCLE will be purchasing tickets in advance. Please submit $25 to Ann Kline on or before October 6, 2008.

Checks can be made payable to TCLE. Fright Fest offers Halloween inspired attractions and shows, rides, and shopping. PALS will be leaving TCLE at 11:30am for Six Flags America. Transportation to the center will not be provided. Consumers attending the activity need to be dropped off at TCLE no later than 11:15am. Participants should eat breakfast before being dropped off. Consumers will eat lunch at the park. Please provide your son/daughter with additional funds for lunch (approximately $15). If your son/daughter wishes to purchase souvenirs, snacks, etc., please supply him/her with additional funds. Following the activity, consumers will return to TCLE to be picked up. Transportation home following the activity will not be provided. Consumers will be available for pick up around 7:30pm at TCLE.

* Boat Trip- Monday, October 20. Participants will enjoy a picnic and boat ride on Herring Creek. The boat will launch from Tall Timber’s Marina. Please bring a meal

from home that does not require heating; total cost is $7. At this time, the boat is not accessible to individuals in wheelchairs.

* Dinner & a Movie- Wednesday, October 22. Participants will be watching “The Express,” rated PG. Dinner at Chick-fil-A; total cost is $16. The price of admission has

increased at the movie theater; please note the new estimated cost of $16.

* Dinner & a Movie- Monday, October 27. Participants will be watching “High School Musical 3: Senior Year,” rated G. Dinner at Subway; total cost is $16. The price of

admission has increased at the movie theater; please note the new estimated cost of $16.

* Fun & Pizza at the St. Clair’s Farm- Wednesday, October 29. Participants will enjoy an afternoon of games at the St. Clair’s Farm. Pizza will be served; please bring $4

to cover the cost of food.

General Information

Please return your calendar as soon as possible. The date your calendar is received, and the number of activities you wish to attend will be considered when

devising the roster.

Please include the participant’s name on the returned calendar.

Calendars must be received by September 30, 2008. Individuals who submit their calendars after this date may not be able to participate.

If one or more of the activities you requested are unavailable, you will be notified by mail.

Please keep one calendar for your records; mail, fax, or hand deliver one calendar to TCLE, attention Ann Kline.

If you need to be picked up for a PALS activity, please indicate on the calendar the day, time, and location for pick up.

If you do not have the dollar amount or dinner required for an activity, you may be sent home.

On dinner and a movie night, participants may return home later than usual due to the location and time of the movie.
