Note:
Tour is scheduled rain or shine so dress for inclement weather.
Once payment is received, no refunds will be issued for any reason.
No Food or Beverages are included in this tour (except morning snack pack).
You may bring a bag lunch and dinner or purchase food on your own.
Entrance is not included. General Entrance is free only if you bring your American Rose Society Card or Horticulture Society Card, all others will need to purchase their own entrance ticket of their choice (see entrance details on Schedule/Information page).
Schedule/Information
Departure – Bus will depart from designated departure points promptly at scheduled time. You are responsible to be there on time, we will not be able to wait for late arrivals so plan to be at departure point 10-15 minutes prior to departure. Approximately 2 hours after departure we will be making a quick stop in the Hartford, CT area where you may get out and stretch and use the restrooms. Exit 21, I-91, Cromwell, CT.
Arrival - We plan to arrive at NYBG by 11:00am. You should bring your own bag lunch to eat on the bus or in the Park Picnic Area; there are also two Park Cafes you may purchase food at.
Entrance –Entrance fees are your responsibility. There are two pricing levels for NYBG entrance, they are as follows:
Grounds-Only Pass is free with your American Rose Society Card or Horticulture Society Card, (it is your responsibility to bring your card along for free entry), note this does not include use of trams or entrance to special exhibits. Grounds-Only Pass without American Rose Society Card or Horticulture Society Card is $6.00 for adults, $3.00 for seniors.
All-Garden Passis $20.00 adults and $18.00 for seniors, this includes use of trams and special exhibits
Park Visit– Once we arrive at the Park, you will have approximately 4 hours to tour the park on your own. An exact confirmed departure time will be given to you upon arrival. Because of the expansive garden areas to cover, it is recommended you visit the NYBG website prior to the excursion and plan out your own itinerary according to your own interests to make the most of your time while visiting.
Departure– Please start to return to the bus 15 minutes prior to confirmed departure time so that we may depart on time. It is recommended to use the Park restrooms prior to boarding the bus for departure.
Return – After leaving the Park we will continue our return stopping after approximately 1 ½ - 2 hours for a restroom/fast-food break and then continue on stopping only at designated Stops.
*DesignatedPick-Up/Drop Off Points - Please arrive 10 minutes earlier to be seated, bus is on a timely schedule, will leave each stop at exact departure times and will not be able to wait for late arrivals.
