GANG OF NOTORIOUS BURGLARS BUSTED WITH THE ARREST OF THREE.

ACCUSED IDENTIFIED THROUGH CCTV FOOTAGE.

7 LCD TVS RECOVERED AND 5 CASES OF BURGLARIES OF OUTER DISTRICT WORKED OUT.

TWO ACCUSED ARE PREVIOUSLY INVOLVED IN SEVERAL CASES OF THEFT AND BURGLARS.

INTRODUCTION:-

Crime Branch has busted a gang of notorious burglars with the arrest of three burglars namely (1) Birju Sahni (24 years) s/o Mannu Sahni r/o Jhuggi No. B- 945, K Block, Jahangirpuri, Delhi, (2) Neeraj @ Sonu (27 years) s/o Ramesh Talwar r/o Jhuggi No. A-818, K Block, Jahangirpuri, Delhi, and (3) Amit Bhalla @ Montu (23 years) s/o Prathavi Raj r/o H.No. 502, III Floor, Gali No. 6, Nathu Pura, Delhi. 7 stolen branded LCD TVs have been recovered from them and 5 cases of night burglary of Outer district have been worked out.

TEAM AND OPERATION:-

There was a spate of burglaries involving theft of LCDs in Outer Distt. The criminals targeted restaurant, offices and shops which are locked and unguarded during night. They wouldcarry reccee during the day time to select the target. During night, they used to break the locks of the premises and decamp with the LCD TVs fixed there. In order to check such incidents, a team of Anti Snatching Cell of Crime Branch comprising of SI Ramesh Sharma, HCs Birender Singh, Suresh Kumar, Naresh Kumar, Surender, Cts Sanjay Kumar, Ashok Kumar, Ranbir and Sarabjeet Singh was constituted under the supervision of ACP Ram Mehar Singh and overall supervision of DCP Kumar Gyanesh to identify/nab such criminals.

The team gathered data of such theft and studied the modus operandi.Whileconductingenquiries, the team obtained CCTV footage of one such incident in which the burglars were caught in the camera. The footage was shown to the sources. One informer of Ct. Ashok Kumar informed him that the criminals operating as burglars are Birju Sahni, Neeraj @ Sonu and Amit Bhalla and further provided specific inputs that these criminals would arrive at Rama Vihar in a white Maruti van No. DL-1RT-2728to dispose the stolen LCD TVs.

The team immediately swung into action and laid a trap near the place of the information. As soon as the van arrived, it was intercepted by the police team and the accused were apprehended alongwith the stolen LCDs.

INTERROGATION:-

The accused were subjected to sustained interrogation. Accused Birju and Neeraj Bhalla are previously involved in several criminal cases. They were released from jail in Dec 2013. Birju Sahni is a history-sheeter of PS Jahangirpuri, Delhi. After getting out of jail, they again formed a gang to commit burglaries and decided to target shops and offices, where no guards are deployed during night hours. They used to roam in the area alongwith a juvenile to choose the target. They committed several burglaries, but they were not lucky enough to escape from eyes of a CCTV camera while committing one such burglary.

The accused have been arrested u/s 41.1CrPC and concerned police stations have been informed about the arrested of the accused.

MURDER CASE SOLVED

With the arrest of four accused persons namely Birju, Arun Nagar, Raju Tiwari and Rahul, the staff of PS Sangam Vihar has solved the murder case of Deepak, who was brutally murdered by his friends..

Incident

On 24/4/14, an information about suspicious activities in jungle was received and police team reached the jungle behind Naahari Baja Mandir, Sangam Vihar and found two persons namely Ajay and Deepak in injured condition. The injured persons were taken to hospital and a case vide FIR No.240/14, u/s 307/34 IPC at PS.Sangam Vihar was registered. On 25.4.14, injured Deepak succumbed to his injuries during treatment and section 302 IPC was incorporated in the case.

Investigation

Investigation was taken up by Insp. Randhir Singh, SHO/Sangam Vihar and a team was formed to crack the case. During investigation, several persons were interrogated and on the basis of a secret information, a raid was conducted and accused Birju Tiwari was arrested. At his instance, other associates namely Arun Nagar and Rahul were also arrested in the case. Later, another accused namely Raju Tiwari was arrested from Nehru place on 28.04.2014. All the accused persons have been sent to judicial custody till 12.05.2014..

Interrogation

During interrogation accused Birju Tiwari s/o Babban Tiwari r/o B-1366/2 Sangam Vihar disclosed that Ajay s/o Bedram r/o 13/10 Dakshinpuri run a mobile recharge shop in Sangam Vihar area and he used to get his phone recharged on credit basis. Birju became friendly with Ajay and his friend Deepak. During the absence of Birju, his nieces used to visit the place and recharge their phone at Ajay’s shop. When he came to know about victims’ (i.e. Ajay & Deepak) intimacy with his nieces, he made a plan along with his friends to kill Deepak and Ajay. On the evening of 24.4.14, as per plan, Birju along with Arun Nagar called Ajay and Deepak in the jungle area, behind Naahari Baja Mandir, Sangam Vihar, on the pretext of having a party. His friends Raju and Rahul were already present there. Birju and Arun Nagar offered drinks to Ajay and Deepak. Thereafter, they all thrashed Ajay and Deepak with bamboo sticks and removedall their clothes, mobile phone and purse, so that they could not be identified. They fled away afterhearing the noise of police vehicle’s siren, but during the melee, left behind one of their motor cycles in the jungles.

Recovery

At the instance of accused persons,two blood stained bamboo sticks, three mobile phones of deceased/injured and blood stained clothes/shoes of accused persons have been recovered.

The police personnel involved in the good work are being rewarded suitably.

ONE NOTORIOUS THIEF ARRESTED

With the arrest of one Samir @ Guddu age 18 ½ years s/o Mohd. Anees r/o H. No. D/406, Khadda Colony, Jaitpur Extn Part II, New Delhi, a team of police personnel of PS Jaitpur, South East district has worked out 7 cases of house theft in the area of PS Jaitpur.

Incident :

Keeping in view the spurt in house theft cases, police personnel of PS Jaitpur were put on the job to apprehend the accused persons. On 30/04/2014 SI Sandeep Verma, acting on a secret tip off that one boy would come at Hanuman Mandir, Pushta Road along with the stolen items. This information was further developed and was brought in to the notice of SHO/ PS. Jaitpur Inspr. Shriniwas Rajora. Accordingly, a team was constituted under the supervision of SHO/Jaitpur Insp. Shriniwas Rajora comprising of SI Sandeep Verma, Ct. Kishan, Ct. Niranjan and Ct. Vikas Kumar, under overall supervision of Sh. Vipin Kumar Nayyer, ACP/Sarita Vihar. The police party lay a trap near Hanuman Mandir at Pushta Road, and at the instance of the informer one person who was coming from Shri Ram Chowk towards Hanuman Mandir Pushta Road overpowered by the team. On personal search of the person apprehended by the team, two mobile phones (make Nokia C-1 and Nokia 100) were recovered from his possession. These mobile phones recovered from him were found to be stolen vide FIR No. 271/14, u/s 380 IPC, PS. Jaitpur.

Sustained interrogation of the person revealed that he is Samir @ Guddu age 18 ½ years s/o Mohd. Anees r/o H. No. D/406, Khadda Colony, Jaitpur Extn Part II, New Delhi. He is found to be involved in 6 more cases of house theft and M. V. theft from the area of PS. Jaitpur and PS. Jamia Nagar respectively. He disclosed that his associate namely Dilshan, who is also having previous involvements of house theft is absconding. The hunt is one to trace him and there is every possibility that more cases of house theft will be worked out and stolen articles will be recovered from him.

Modus operandi

Samir @ Guddu disclosed that he alongwith his associate Dilshan (residing in the same locality Khadda Colony) used to racee in the area of PS. Jaitpur for the unlocked houses and then move at late night hours, target these house and steal the items like mobile phones, purse, cash etc.

Profile of accused:

Samir @ Guddu age 18 ½ years s/o Mohd. Anees r/o H. No. D/406, Khadda Colony, Jaitpur Extn Part II, New Delhi., is a habitual offender. He is studied up to 7th class and is working in a electronic Shop at Khadda Colony and also a drug addict.

BLIND MURDER CASE SOLVED

RELATIOSHIP BECAME MEANINGLESS

The Staff of Police Station Khyala, West District has done an excellent work by arresting three accused persons namely Miss. Kulvinder Kaur @ Nikki, Prince Sandhu and Ashok Sharma @ Manish @ Goku and solved a blind murder case of Daljeet Singh, age 56 years registered vide FIR No.329/14 dated 30.04.14 u/s 302 IPC at P. S. Khyala.

NAME & PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSONS

  1. Kulvinder Kaur aged about 23 years R/o RajouriGarden, New Delhi. She has studied upto 8th standard.
  2. Prince Sandhu aged about 22 years S/o Paramjeet Singh Sandhu R/o D-7B, Shahid Bhagat Singh Colony, RajouriGarden, New Delhi. He has studied upto 7th standard. He is unmarried and having 01 brother and 02 sisters. He has expertise in tattooing and is running a tattoo salon in the area of Geeta Colony, Delhi with the name and style of ‘SATTY STUDIO’.
  1. Ashok Sharma @ Manish @ Goku aged about 23 years S/o Kish Kumar R/o H.No. D-300, TagoreGarden Extension, RajouriGarden, Delhi. He has studied upto 5th standard. He is unmarried and residing with his widow mother. He is doing job of house-keeping in prestigious show room situated at West Gate Mall in the area of RajouriGarden with the name and style of ‘LACOSTE’.

INCIDENT AND TEAM

On 30-04-2014 at about 06:35 AM, an information was received at PS Khyala that a dead body of a male lying at Ganda Nala road, near Keshopur depot. On receipt of the said information, Insp.Tanvir Ashraf, SHO/Khyala immediately rushed to spot and found that a male dead body wrapped in a blood stained bed sheet, was lying on the road. Neck and legs of the deceased were tied with black colour cable wire, blood was oozing from the body. Crime team and photographer were summoned at the spot. It was found that both legs and neck of the deceased were tightly tied number of times with cable wire. On examination, it was found that a male dead body aged about 50-55 years. Blood stained pillow cover and glove were also lying with the dead body. There were various injuries on the body of the deceased including lacerated wound over chest and head. From the examination of the spot, it was observed that dead body seems to be dumped at Ganda Nala road after committing murder else where. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No.329/14 u/s302 IPC was registered at police station Khyala and investigation was taken up.

A team consisting of SI Anand Prakash, SI Bimla, ASI Surender, Ct. Jasvir and Ct. Raj Kumar was constituted to solve the murder case under the leadership of Inspr. Tanvir Ashraf, SHO Khyala and over all supervision of Dr.Eish Singhal, ACPRajouriGarden.

INVESTIGATION

The body was shown to the local residents for identification. The details of the body were uploaded on ZIP net. Hue and cry notices with the colour photograph of the dead body were published and circulated. Efforts were made to identify the dead body with the available records of missing person. Despite all out efforts dead body could not be identified. Hue and cry notices were placed on the notice board of all neighboring police station Khyala. Finally, in the late evening of 01-05-2014, an information was received that somebody is crying after seeing the photographs of the deceased at the premises of police station RajouriGarden.

The deceased was identified as Daljjet Singh S/o Lt. Darshan Singh R/o- D1A, DDA Flats, Shahid Bhagat Singh Colony, RajouriGarden. It was also come into notice that he was doing the job of driver and attached with one travel agency namely ‘New India Travels’ situated at Rajender place, New Delhi. On investigation, it was also come into notice that the deceased was living along with his one youngest unmarried daughter namely Kulvinder Kaur. His wife had died 03 years ago. Deceased had two more daughter who are living separately after their marriage. Hence Kulvinder Kaur was examined in the said case. She stated that her father had left on 30-04-2014 at about 05 AM with a car for a tour. On the other hand Lalit Kumar, owner of ‘New India Travels’, stated that no tour was scheduled after Haridwar tour, he was supposed to report to travel agency in the morning of 30-04-2014. On this, suspicion was created. Hence Kulvinder Kaur @ Nikki, was examined thoroughly. Her version was cross checked and it was noticed that she is concealing some facts. On sustained interrogation she confessed her involvement in murder of her own father. She was also in friendship with two boys namely Prince and Goku. Finally she decided to eliminate her father with the help of her two boy friends. Thus, on 30.04.14 with the help of her two boy friends she murdered her father and then both the boys dumped the body. In the meanwhile, she remained at home and tried to clean the house and blood stains. Accordingly, she was arrested in the said case. Crime team was summoned at the house and particles of blood were detected at various places in the room. At her instance, blood stained weapon of offence and clothes were also recovered.

INTERROGATION

On the basis of disclosure statement of Kulvinder Kaur two other accused persons namely Prince Sandhu and Ashok Sharma @ Manish @ Goku were also arrested in the said case. During interrogation, both of them confessed that in the night of 29/30-04-14, Kulvinder Kaur once again informed that after return from Haridwar. Thus they made a conspiracy to eliminate him in the late night. As per the plan, in the late night, Kulvinder Kaur opened bolt of the door of house. Both of them entered into house and with the help of Kulvinder Kaur, they overpowered the Daljeet Singh who was sleeping. They also attacked him with the cricket wicket. There after they opened the chest of Daljeet Singh with the help of broken sharp edged glass and removed the pace maker from his heart. After ensuring his death, they tied his legs and neck with the help of cable wire. When he came to know after two days that body has been identified he parked the car to some other deserted place in the area of MohanGarden, Uttam Nagar. At the instance of accused persons, belongings of deceased, weapon of offence, blood stained clothes and used Innova car have been recovered. Investigation of the case is still in progress.

The staff involved in good work is being rewarded suitably.

The staff of PS Kirti Nagar, West District has arrested one person namely Nizarul @ Ali S/o Hazi Shamim R/o Vill Bhikan Pur Mondha, Distt Amroha, U.P. age 21 Yrs. who is involved in a case of murder of Hari Shankar Sharma.
