The Spring Lake Heights Board of Education at their meeting on January 23, 2012 elected to move the Board of Education to the November General Election.

Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders – the Fair Housing Authority had a contest. Elementary school children submitted pictures expressing the interpretation of Fair Housing. Spring Lake Heights Elementary School had 9 children enter: (see attached for list) From all the entries; Kathryn Callahan and Isaiah Drake won, there pictures are March and April in the calendar, which is on display in cabinet in hall; Emily McLaughlin was an Honorable Mention Winner.
