You arescheduledfor the Transition Readiness Seminar (TRS)on: ______
Attending the TRS is the BEGINNING of your transition process and you are required to be atall classes during the week in order to receive credit for attending. Please reschedule any appointments you have during this week OR reschedule your TRS week. The information and resources covered during TRS week may be difficult to absorb but are important references you need to know as you go through your transition process. You will need all the documents below to complete the TRS and in preparation for your CAPSTONE event with your Commanding Officerprior to your EAS or starting terminal leave.
To COMPLETE PRIORto TRS (Pre-work):
- Print the Certificate of Completion forDD2648 webinar: - Scroll down the page until you see DD2648, click on the link, complete the webinar and print the completion certificate.
- Print a copy of your Leave and Earnings Statement (LES): - CAC Card needed or create an account.
- Complete the TGPS Personal Financial Planning for Transition webinar on JKO: - Follow the instructions to register with CAC or without, select Courses, search the course number: TGPS-US003 or title: TGPS Personal Financial Planning for Transition, complete the webinar,which will include a completed budget and the completioncertificate (The spreadsheet for the budget is in the webinar please complete and print). IF you have problems using your CAC card, please select No DoD CAC to register.
- Obtain and print your Verification of Military Experience and Training (VMET): click Login (left side), click OK (middle, center), click Login under CAC, select email certificate, select VMET (middle, top), select Access VMET Documents, follow the instructions and print. You can use DS logon (vice CAC) but your DS logon information is needed or create an account (user name and password).
- Obtain and print your Joint Service Transcript (JST): - CAC Card needed or register at the site, after login select Transcripts (in blue) at the top of the page,select the Combo option, and print your transcript.
- Register for VA eBenefits and print the registration page: register, choose one of the four registration methods, complete the registration information (GET THE PREMIUM ACCOUNT) and print the completion or registration page.
- Complete and print the Kuder Career Interest Assessment: - select register, complete registration process, select Career Interest Assessment, complete the assessment and print the results. DO NOT PAY AS THIS IS FREE TO ACTIVE DUTY.
- Obtain the Department of Labor Gold Card: - print a copy of the card.
TRS Day 1:
- 0700 at the Training and Education Building (#4335), room 171 – class runs from 0730-1630 Monday-Friday
- Required uniform is Seasonal Camouflage Utilities
- Bring a laptop or tablet (recommended)
- Bring 2 copies of the DD Form 2648 with blocks 1-8 filled out
- Bring with you the following documents:
- TGPS Personal Financial Planning for Transition completion certificate and a completed budget (the spreadsheets for the budget is within the JKO webinar please complete and print)
- E-Benefits Proof of Registration
- Certificate of Completion from the DD2648 webinar
- Kuder Assessment Results
- Department of Labor Gold Card
TRS Day 2-5:
- 0730 at the Training and Education Building (#4335)
- You may wear Appropriate Civilian Attire(what constitutes appropriate civilian attire will be explained on day 1)
- Bring completed work as assigned by your instructors during the week
- Documents (as listed on the back of the schedule passed out on Monday) WILL be collected on Friday afternoon
