Technical information for PE storage tanks by Dehoust

Dehoust PE storage tanks are delivered in volumes of 1100 -4000 l. The cleansing dome and lower flange offer optimum application possibilities.

High-molecular low-pressure polyethylene, which is processed using the blow-mould procedure, as a material combines many preferences. The material is physiologically flawless and complies with the Recommendation III Polyethylene of the German Federal Institute for Consumer Health Protection and Veterinary Medicine (BfVV-Empfehlung III Polyethylen) (1 June 1998) and CEN 71.

Polyethylene is resistant to many filling liquids. We request that you take details of the permanence of the tank material from the raw material manufacturers. In case of doubt, we recommend storage trials with the respective filling liquid. For filling liquids with a specific volume of more than 1.2 please contact us. Filling the containers with diverse liquids is to be avoided because of the different influences on the material.

The tank and/or tank group is to be placed on smooth, flat, load-bearing ground. Ensure that the bottom of the tank lies completely on the ground. Polyethylene storage tanks must be protected from direct sunlight; for long-term temperatures over 30°C please contact us.

Please follow the regional regulations and setting-up terms. For dangerous liquids we recommend a maximum usage limit of five years from the date of delivery.

To join the tanks together we recommend our range of accessories (bottom bypass pipe, PE drain cock, connecting flange). These are fastened to the flange ring. Beforehand, drill out the PE material inside the ring by maximum 70 mm, or on ordering state “flange drilled-out”.

Special connecting straps that are fixed to the top and bottom binding in the front and the back respectively guarantee the right tank centre distance (720 mm for PE 1100 to 2000, 1035 mm for PE 2500 to 4000 l). The tanks and/or tank group should be distanced at least 5 cm from fixed walls. Under no circumstances should tension be transferred to the tank, therefore avoid all rigid pipe connections and ensure correct screw length.
