CADET SEA BAG LIST
All uniforms must have appropriate USNSCC flashes and nametapes. All clothing articles and other personal belongings MUST be marked with cadet name and last 4 digits of SSN. SEE NOTE AT END OF THE SEA BAG LIST. IF IT IS NOT ON THE SEA BAG LIST, THEN IT IS CONTRABAND WHICH MUST BE TURNED IN AT CHECK-IN. CONTRABAND FOUND AFTER CHECK-IN WILL RESULT IN CADET BEING SENT HOME.
If traveling a distance place dress uniform items below in a garment bag. Change prior to arriving as there is no place to change at check-in location.

2 sets / NWU’s. If your unit wears Woodland CCU’s, you may wear those. NWU’s with LEFT facing NSCC flash properly attached. If you have 3 sets, you may bring them. TWO SETS IS THE MINIMUN.
1 / NWU cover (CCU if wearing those) with flash sewn on front with RIGHT facing NSCC flash.

1 or 2 pair / Civilian pants (jeans or shorts) – NO SKINNY OR TIGHT FITTING. If it is form fitting it is way too tight. Shorts are knee length.

Spending money (to be determined by your parents/guardians). We will be going to the NEX, as well as one other place where money may be spent. Cadets are responsible for safe keeping of all money.
NOTES
  1. You will be doing your personal laundry. BRING LAUNDRY SUPPLIES FOR YOUR PERSONAL LAUNDRY. Washers and dryers are coin operated. We will wash your NWU’s and PT clothes at no cost to you.
  1. Swimwear may NOT have any sharp edges such as rivets, grommets, zippers, etc. If it does, then you will NOT be allowed in the swim area.
  1. Civilian clothes are allowed, but they must be appropriate and in good taste. No tank tops or tube shirts. Shorts should be knee length. Again, NO SKINNY JEANS OR TIGHT FITTING SHORTS. No open-toes shoes in the Galley. The COTC has the final word as to what is, and what is not, appropriate. If you bring inappropriate civilian clothing, you will wear what the COTC chooses during liberty and to the Galley. The COTC is VERY STRICT about this policy.
  1. NO CELL PHONES OR OTHER ELECTRONIC DEVICES are allowed at this training. If you arrive with any, they will be turned in at check-in and returned at graduation. ANY CONTRABAND FOUND AFTER CHECK-IN WILL RESULT IN YOU BEING SENT HOME. CONTRABAND IS ANYTHING NOT LISTED ON SEA BAG LIST.
  1. NO EMAILS TO OR FROM CADETS DURING TRAINING.
  1. READ THE WELCOME PACKET. BE SURE PARENTS/GUARDIANS READ IT, AND GIVE INFORMATION TO YOUR CO. HAVE A PARENT/GUARDIAN EMAIL THE COTC STATING THEY HAVE READ THE WELCOME LETTER. I should not have any unit officer needing to contact me asking about Sea Bag List, graduation, etc.
