1.4   SUBMITTALS

A.   Submit under provisions of Section 01 30 00 - Administrative Requirements.

B.   Product Data: Manufacturer's data sheets on each product to be used, including:

1.   Preparation instructions and recommendations.

2.   Storage and handling requirements and recommendations.

3.   Manufacturer's head, jamb and sill details for each unit specified.

4.   Installation methods.

C.   Shop Drawings: Provide detailed details including elevations indicating size, glazing type and design of each unit type, sections, details, hardware, relationship to adjacent construction, operational clearances and installation details; showing multiple unit connections,

1.5   QUALITY ASSURANCE

A.   Manufacturer Qualifications:

1.   Minimum ten years experience manufacturing vinyl (PVC) windows and doors.

2.   Capable of fabricating vinyl windows and doors that meet or exceed performance requirements indicated.

3.   Capable of providing documentation of performance characteristics by inclusion in lists and by labels, test reports, and calculations.

B.   Installer Qualifications: Installer with experience on projects of a similar size and scope with similar installation conditions.

** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Include a mock-up if the project size and/or quality warrant taking such a precaution. The following is one example of how a mock-up on a large project might be specified. When deciding on the extent of the mock-up, consider all the major different types of work on the project.

C.   Mock-Up: Provide a mock-up for evaluation of surface preparation techniques and application workmanship.

1.   Finish areas designated by Architect.

2.   Do not proceed with remaining work until workmanship, color, and sheen are approved by Architect.

3.   Refinish mock-up area as required to produce acceptable work.

1.6   DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING

A.   Store products in manufacturer's unopened packaging until ready for installation.

B.   Store products off the ground, out of direct sunlight in manufacturer's original, unopened containers and packaging, with labels clearly identifying product name and manufacturer until ready for installation. Protect from damage.

1.7   SEQUENCING

A.   Ensure that products of this section are supplied to affected trades in time to prevent interruption of construction progress.

1.8   PROJECT CONDITIONS

A.   Field Measurements: Verify rough openings by field measurements before fabrication and indicate measurements on Shop Drawings.

B.   Maintain environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, and ventilation) within limits recommended by manufacturer for optimum results. Do not install products under environmental conditions outside manufacturer's absolute limits.

1.9   WARRANTY

A.   Sliding Vinyl Patio Doors limited warranty: 20 years on vinyl and 20 years on seal failure of insulated glass

B.   Between the Glass Blinds: 10 year limited warranty for seal failure of insulated glass and a 5 year limited warranty for blinds.
