George Melly & friends
at The 100 Club, 10th June 2007
Photographs taken by Debal Bagchi
The event:
Billed as George Melly’s final gig, ‘Melly & friends’ was indeed a moving evening.
George was joined by many of the greats of British jazz music history, as well as celebrated people from the arts and the media, both onstage as well as in the audience.
This is a unique & unrepeatable set of historic images, offered at the Brecon Jazz Festival 2007, in which he played a significant role, as well as being considered a local, living nearby and enjoying fishing on the River Usk.
Half of profits from the 5 prints on sale will be donated to one of George Melly’s nominated charities : fordementia.org.uk
