DINING ROOM RULES
Dinner will be served at the time indicated on the contract. Please be on time. We will wait 15 minutes and then open the buffet to all guests. This is only fair to your guests, as well as insuring the meal is served while it’s hot. Sorry, no exceptions.
The Head Table will be along the south wall. If going through the buffet line, there is no charge. If served family style, there is a $100 additional charge.
Family tables: The family is served buffet style, beginning with the parents, immediately after the wedding party is served. We ask that family members be seated and remain seated at their reserved tables until the wedding party has been served. We will give them the “OK” to form the dinner line. All other guests will then join the dinner line. The wedding/event planner should consult Valerie Huelsmann for other seating arrangements.
You will be charged for the number of meals reserved. If you make reservations for 400 guests and 350 are served, you will be charged for 400. If you make reservations for 400 guests and 410 are served, you will be charged for 410.
Payment for dinner: A $500 down payment is required 2 weeks prior to the event. Make check payable to: Aviston American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 1239, and mail to Valerie Huelsmann, P.O. Box 627, Aviston IL 62216. The balance is due the day of the wedding unless other arrangements are agreed upon in advance.
If your table decorations are easy to remove, we will clear them for you after dinner. However, if your table decorations are elaborate, be sure to have a friend, family member, or your coordinator available to help.
