2 Preparing your Manuscript
2.1 Structuring
Section headings should be numbered. You can use up to three levels of headlines:
1 First level
1.1 Second Level
1.1.1 Third Level
If you want to further structure your text - please simply use bold headlines ("Run in Headings")
2.2 Tables, figures, images
Each of these items must be accompanied by the following elements:
· an ongoing numbering (table 1, 2, 3... or figure 1, 2, 3...)
· a table title
· caption or figure legend - this should also include the source (if applicable)
2.3 Quotations
A quote in the text should have double inverted commas. Displayed quotations should be formatted as a separate paragraph in italic letters.
2.4 Notes
For notes (preferably end notes) please use the functions provided by MS Word.
2.5 References or Bibliography
This must not be confused with foot notes or end notes. A separate list is required at the end of each chapter or article. All literature used must be stated here. Please follow the detailed instructions below ( > see No. 3 List of References !)
2.6 Length of contribution
Approximately 8,500 words (or 60,000 characters) - including endnotes, references and tables.
2.7 Data format
One single MS Word document (ending .doc or .docx) - with all text, graphs etc. included
2.8 Language
All papers should be written in English. If English is not your native language, you may want to have your manuscript edited by a native speaker prior to submission. A clear and concise language will help editors, reviewers and readers concentrate on the content of your paper. 3 List of References
The list of references should follow The Chicago Manual of Style. The main rules are stated below; for more details see http://www.chicagomanualofstyle.org/contents.html.
3.1 Organise References
· alphabetized by author
The reference list is arranged alphabetically - by the author's surname.
· multiple entries of one author
For multiple entries by the same author, the entries are arranged chronologically. Ifan authorhas more than one reference ina single year, then use 2000a, 2000b, etc.
· multiple authors
References by more than one author appear below all single author references. - Three authors follows two, four authors follows three and so on.
3.2 Elements of the Reference
You need to include the following elements of information:
· Surname,initials
· Year of publication (in brackets)
· Title
· Publisher, place of publication, journal, etc.
· Exact reference
