ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  1. The intending tenderer should have his own establishment either a hotel or Catering firm and based at Bangalore. The proof for the same should be furnished.
  1. The intending tenderer should have an experience of minimum 2 years in running a hotel, or catering firm or canteen in a reputed organisation. Documentary proof for having experience by way of a Bank Certificate or any satisfactory proof acceptable to the bank in the case of running hotel/catering firm/canteen should be enclosed.
  1. The intending tenderer should have sufficient manpower to cater food for about 600 people and serve coffee/tea/snacks to all 14 floors at Head Office twice a day and Supply Section, Ptg. & Sty. and Regional Offices at Primrose Road both at the morning and evening.
  1. Bank Account details along with IFS Code to be furnished.
  1. The intending tenderer should have PAN Number/TIN Number. Copy of PAN CARD/Service Tax No. should be furnished.
  1. The intending tenderer must furnish the name of the bankers with details of facilities, if any, enjoyed by them.
  1. The firm should have a minimum annual turnover of `10.00 lakh for the previous 2 years and the same to be proved by way of IT Return or CA Certificate.

INSTRUCTIONS TO THE TENDERERS

  1. The Bank’s staff Canteen is provided with latest kitchen equipments with modern facilities. The state of art Canteen measures of 4000 sq.ft. approx. on the mezzanine floor. The selected firm will be provided canteen space free of rent, free water and free electricity and will be provided and additionally the cost of 40 cylinders of LPG of 19.0 K.G. (commercial) per month will be reimbursed to the catering firm.
  1. The scope of the service covers providing Tea/Coffee/beverages, snacks and meals/Lunch as per the items mentioned in the price bid.
  1. The scope of the work also covers house keeping & maintenance/ up keep of canteen premises like regular washing/cleaning of the entire Canteen floor including toilet, wash basin, mirrors, kitchen equipments, etc., twice a day to the satisfaction of the bank officials.
  1. The tender consists of two parts, namely,

i) Eligibility Criteria (Technical Bid)

ii) Price Bid

  1. Tender forms can be collected from the office of the Asst. General Manager, General Administration Department, III Floor, Head Office, M.G.Road, Bangalore – 560001. Tender form submitted by downloading the forms from our website is also accepted.
  1. The tendersshould be submitted along with a D.D. for `50,000/- as EMD and a D.D. for `2,000/- towards cost of the tender which is non-refundable. The EMD of unsuccessful bidders will be returned within a week and successful bidder EMD amount to be kept as security deposit and refundable after expire of contract period.
  1. The “Technical Bid”:- All the relevant papers as per the eligibility criteria (Technical Bid) with enclosures along with D.D. for Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) for `50,000/-and D.D. for `2,000/-towards cost of tender should be enclosed in a sealed cover superscribed as “Eligibility Criteria for Vijaya Bank Staff Canteen Tender". No interest shall be payable on EMD
  1. The “Price Bid”:- The price bid format enclosed to the tender documents should be submitted in a separate sealed cover superscribed as “Price Bid for Vijaya Bank Staff Canteen Tender”.
  1. Both the covers as per Sl.No.7 and 8 above should be put in a single sealed cover super scribed as “Tender for Vijaya Bank Staff Canteen”.

  1. Each cover should invariably contain full address and telephone number of the establishment so as to facilitate for easy inspection of the establishment if required.
  1. Tenders received other than as per the instructions in Sl.No.7, 8 and 9 above, and not enclosed with D.D. for EMD and cost of the tender will be treated as invalid and will be rejected.
  1. Completely filled in and signed tender documents may be deposited in the “Tender Box” placed at Vijaya Bank, General Admn.Department, 3rd Floor, Head Office No.41/2, M.G.Road, Bangalore – 560001.
  1. The last date for submission of tender is 17/05/2017 by 1.00 PM.
  1. The Technical Bid of the tender will be opened on 17/05/2017 at 3.30 PM for ascertaining the eligibility only at the Office of the Asst. General Manager, Vijaya Bank, General Admn. Dept., 3rd Floor, Head Office, No.41/2, M.G.Road, Bangalore – 560 001.
  1. After ascertaining the eligibility criteria, the price bids of only eligible tenderers will be opened on Bank’s convenient date and will be intimated to the eligible tenderer.
  1. The tenderer will take all precautions against accidents at Canteen during the period of his contract and will insure his materials, workmen and personnel against all accidents with recognized Insurance Company. He shall also insure against third parties risks.
  1. Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) amount is liable to be forfeited if the successful tenderer selected for the work fails to sign the formal agreement or fails to commence the Canteen within the period stipulated by the bank.
  1. The successful tenderer shall be liable for due payments of wages to their employees, State Insurance Contributions (ESI) provident fund or any other contributions mandated as per labour laws or any compensation for lay-off/retrenchment or closure in respect of personnel employed by him/her.

  1. The successful tenderer should be able to start the Canteen with effect from 16/07/2017.
  1. The successful tenderer should provide the required number of brand new utensils for serving the food/beverages, crockery, the quality of which should be approved by the bank. Any crockeries with hairline cracked broken etc. will have to be replaced with brand new at all times.
  1. The Coffee/Tea should be served in porcelain cup or steel glass and tumbler.
  1. The successful tenderer will enter into an agreement on a stamp paper of requisite value with the bank within a week of acceptance of his tender.
  1. The successful tenderer shall attend the Canteen Committee meeting as and when convened. If the successful tenderer fails to do so for 3 consecutive meetings, Bank shall have the right to issue termination notice for the contract.
  1. The “Inviting Tender, Eligibility Criteria and Instructions to Tenderers” shall also form a part of the agreement to be entered into before commencement of the Canteen.
  1. Tenders which do not fulfill all or any of the above conditions or are incomplete in any respect, are liable to be rejected.
  1. The contract should not be leased/entrusted to sub-contractors under any circumstances.
  1. Accommodation to Canteen Employees/Workers working at our Canteen shall be arranged by the Contractor outside our premises at his own expenses.
  1. The Total number of staff working in Head Office is approximately 600 Numbers.
  1. No outsider other than the staff will be allowed to utilize the canteen facility.
  1. Floor to floor supply of tea/coffee/snacks during morning and afternoon to be undertaken by the contractor, 2 times.

a)Breakfast with tea at 11.00 a.m,.

b) Tea at 3.00 p.m.

  1. Contractor should display of rate list of menu items in the canteen.
  1. The canteen should function from 8.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m.
  1. Head Office timings/working hours should be displayed.
  1. Serving of food outside the menu mentioned in the price bid may also be considered subject to approval of Canteen Committee.
  1. The bank reserves the right to accept or reject any tender, or all the tenders without assigning any reason whatsoever.
