Scarowinds Information

Dear Parents and Students:

On Friday October 20th, we will be leaving the school to go to Carowinds. This is a team building activity and is not required. Students are required to ride on the school bus with the rest of the choir. Students will need to bring money with them for food and beverages. Students are required to wear their chorus t-shirts. The following is a timeline of events scheduled for the day. The timeline is for ALL students.

· 5:15 pm leaving school (meet in my room)

· 7:00 pm arriving at Carowinds

· 1:00 am meeting back at bus

· 1:15 am leaving park (will stop to eat on the way back)

· 3:00 am arriving back at school

COST

T-shirts $12.00 (required for all students going)

Student Ticket $36.48

Money is due by Friday September 22.

I understand that participation in extra-curricular activities involves inherent risks regardless of all feasible safety measures that may be taken by the District. In consideration of the District’s agreement to allow my child to participate in the field trip, I agree to accept responsibility for any loss, damage, or injury to my child that occurs during this extra-curricular activity that is not the result of the fraud, willful injury, or the gross negligence of a District employee or agent of the school system. In the event that my child is injured or becomes ill during the field trip, school personnel have my permission to transport my child to the best available location for medical attention, and I assume financial liability for the expenses incurred because of accident, injury, illness or unforeseen circumstances.

Tickets for chaperones will not be purchased unless they are already cleared through the district. If the paperwork is finished and a chaperone is cleared through the district after the ticket order is purchased, they must provide their own ticket. The ticket order is going in on September 22nd before 1:30 pm.
