GENERAL MEETING MINUTES

NOVEMBER 7, 2005

The meeting was called to order by Linda Plaza at 7:06pm.

Marilyn Sherman led us with the Pledge of Allegiance and read a poem.

The minutes were read and approved.

The Treasurer’s Report was given and will be filed for audit.

Correspondence: Patti Trotter- none

Membership: Michele Timpson – We stand at 629 so far. The cards will be going out soon.

Legislature/Cheerio: Marilyn Sherman – The PTA website has a question and answer memorandum from the gubernatorial candidates running for governor on their positions on school issues.

Cheerio – Marilyn sent a condolence card to the Ranges family for the death of Judy Ranges.

Program Reports:

Class Parent Coordinators – Gail Jambor – We are waiting for the final list from the High School.

Cultural Enrichment – Sue Pirrello none

Health & Safety – Esta Ann Ammerman- none

PTA Website: Dawn Rywalt – no report

Committee Reports:

Book Fair – Doyle - Debbie Donohue – It want very well. The kids loved it. We made about $2300 in profit.

Book Fair- Ostrovsky – Jeanne Connelly – not present

Box Tops for Education –Nancy MacKenzie- not present

Computer Ink Cartridges – Madeline Batcho – A pick up should be this Wednesday.

Holiday Boutique – Patti Trotter and Denise DeCarolis – They are shopping and will be calling volunteers for items this week. We are looking for boys things.

Kidstuff Coupon Book – Jackie Macri – not present

Reflections- Debbie Schweiger – Details about official rules have been posted outside each school office. The entries are due last week of November. The winners will be announced in February.

Wood-Ridge Spirit Sale – Leigh Muoio - Leigh will be going to select items soon.

Final Committee Reports:

Halloween Bake Sale – Anne Turtoro – They had six tables of deserts.

Middle School Halloween Celebration – Janet Robol- We had about 200 kids attend. We had a lot of donations.

Ragamuffin Parade – Carol Carbonaro – 480 tickets given out and 480 bags were made. Thanks to all that helped out.

School Pictures: Laura Sharkey – November 9th will be the retakes.

Wrapping Paper – Sue Schulz – Pick up orders on November 9th.

Unfinished Business:

2004-2005 Audit- It has come back from the accountant.

PTA Fall County Council Dinner Meeting October 19, 2005 – We won several awards. We won an award for 100% Teacher Membership and the Red Oak award.

New Business- NJ PTA Convention – November 18-19, 2005.
