If you are considering participating in the Internship Fair to interview and recruit school psychology interns for 2014-2015, please complete the School Psychology Internship Fair District Registration Form on the web at www.coe.arizona.edu/spif. Requested information on the registration form are outlined on the back of this letter for your planning convenience. Our intent is to provide districts and internship candidates with an opportunity to meet and consider possibilities in a one-stop job fair format. This Internship Fair is a joint endeavor of the Arizona Association of School Psychologists and the Arizona universities.

We encourage participation even if your budgets and approval for hiring are not usually finalized until later in the spring. The fair format will give districts the opportunity to meet and screen potential candidates even if you are not able to hire immediately.

The anticipated structure of the event will include:

9 – 10am: Meet-n-greet

10 – 12pm: 20 Minute Interviews

12 – 1pm: Lunch Break

1 – 3pm: 20 Minute Interviews

3 – 4pm: Question and Answer period with districts in Meet-n-Greet area (option to schedule additional

interviews)

Information will be compiled from the district responses to the questionnaire. Your recommendations about portfolio materials from the candidates will be disseminated to each university for their students. Students will be encouraged to prepare those sample work products and materials to share during the interview process.

We need to identify the district participation commitment prior to February 26th in order to ensure that the fair will be well enough attended to make it valuable to all parties. So please save the date, Friday March 7, 2014 and secure your table by registering for the 2nd Annual Arizona School Psychology Internship Fair today!
