12/2129 MINUTES

The minutes of the meeting held on 18 July 2011 were APPROVED and signed by Cllr. Abbey as a true record subject to item 12/2120 being amended to read:

Cllr Kemp reported that Rushcliffe Borough Council had accepted the document subject to one change which had now been incorporated. The approval process was now complete.

Cllr Abbey conveyed thanks to the Village Plan Housing and Planning Forum and to Cllr Kemp as chairman, for their input and hard work.

12/2131 CORRESPONDENCE

a. Letter from Mr. Peter Appleyard regarding planning application on 22 Highbury Road, Keyworth.

Cllr Sam Boote informed the Committee he had spoken to the Planning Department at Rushcliffe Borough Council and was told a decision would be forthcoming by the end of the current week. He also reported that an Enforcement Officer had attended the site to inspect a report of possible development.

b. Letter and accompanying information from Nottinghamshire County Council regarding Notts/Nottingham Waste Core Strategy

After general discussion, Cllr Abbey asked for representatives of the Committee to attend a consultation meeting (the most local being at the West Bridgford Library on 30 August 2011 at 12noon – 2pm). Several Councillors including Cllrs S. Boote, K. Barton and E. Chmara indicated they would attend if possible.

Cllr Abbey notified the Committee that she would be happy to respond on behalf of the Parish Council and in addition, members may put forward their own comments on the website/by email:

Cllr S. Boote informed the Committee that the Planning Inspectorate had requested comments from Rushcliffe Borough Council on how the Appeal might be affected by the forthcoming National Planning Policy Framework. He added that Matthew Marshall of the Planning Department had sent a strong reply indicating that the appeal should not be affected by a policy not yet in effect.

Cllr Boote reported that although a decision had been expected by late July, this would be more likely to come through by the end of August 2011.
