2018 Miss Golden Isles Princess Program Participation Package

If you are a young lady between the ages of 5 and 12 years old by September 30, 2017, you are invited to be a Miss Golden Isles Princess. Each princess will represent either a 2018 Miss Golden Isles-Miss Georgia Coast contestant or a 2018 Miss Golden Isles’ Outstanding Teen-Miss Georgia Coast Outstanding Teen contestant. Princesses will not be competing; they will be representatives for the Miss and Teen contestants who will be competing.

The pageant will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2018 at the Glynn Academy Memorial High School Auditorium, 1001 Mansfield Street in downtown Brunswick. Each Princess will be presented on stage with her contestant(s) and will be in a princess group production number during the 2018 Miss Golden Isles-Miss Georgia Coast and Miss Golden Isles’ Outstanding Teen-Miss Georgia Coast Outstanding Teen Pageant.

All princesses must email a head and shoulders (black and white or color) photo for the pageant program book. A school photo may be used. The photo will appear in black and white in the program book. The photo will also appear on our Miss Golden Isles and Miss Georgia Coast website, but will not be on our Facebook page. The deadline to email the photo is September 15, 2017.

All princesses are required to attend the dress rehearsal/practice on Friday, September 29, 2017 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Glynn Academy High School Auditorium (1001 Mansfield Street, Brunswick, GA 31520). At the rehearsal, each princess will practice her individual presentation with the contestant(s) she is representing and a group production routine with the other contestants.

All princesses should, at minimum,wear a nice Sunday dress for when she is presented on stage with her contestant(s). Princesses will receive the production number T-shirt andtheir tiara at dress rehearsal. These will be worn at practice and the night of the pageant.

A parent or guardian of a princess must attend and sit with their daughter at the dress rehearsal/practice on Friday night and the pageant on Saturday night.

2018 Miss Golden Isles Princess Program Rules

(PARENT, PLEASE READ TO YOUR CHILD AND KEEP THESE PAGES FOR REFERENCE.)

  1. Princesses must be no younger than five(5) years old and no older than twelve (12) by the date of the pageant, September 30, 2017.
  1. Princesses are required to email a head and shoulders (either black and white or color) photo for the program book. The program book will be printed in black and white. The photo will also be uploaded to our Miss Golden Isles and Miss Georgia Coast website, but will not appear on our Facebook page Deadline for photo is September 15, 2017.
  1. Princesses are asked to wear, at a minimum, a nice Sunday dressfor when shepresented on stage with her contestant(s). Each princess will receive the production number T-shirt and their tiara at dress rehearsal.
  1. We ask that on the night of the pageant that the princesses come ready (hair, etc., must be done in advance) and dressed in their first event attire. If you are traveling from out of town, please come as ready as possible.
  1. The parent or guardian of the Princess must attend the dress rehearsal and pageant with their Princess. Since the dress rehearsal/practice is a closed event, family members and friends are not allowed at the rehearsal/practice. Princesses, parents, and friends will not be allowed back stage at the dress rehearsal or the pageant.
  1. Princesses are required to pay a $50.00 participation fee. Princesses may secure a sponsor to pay this fee. A sponsor may be an individual, business, club, or organization. The parent or guardian of the Princess is required to pay $20.00 for their pageant ticket and will sit in the Princess Reserved Area with their Princess during the dress rehearsal/practice and pageant. Deadline for the Participation fee and Ticket fee is September 17, 2017.

Other family members and friends may purchase advance tickets. Please download the Ticket Order Form from our website: additional tickets are needed. Ticket price is $20.00. Tickets may be purchased at the door the night of the pageant. The princess and parent or guardian of the princess will be given their ticket at rehearsal.

  1. Princesses are not allowed to bring any food which includes candy, chips, cookies, drinks, gum, etc., cell phones, cameras, pagers, kindles, or any other electronic devices to the practice or pageant. Bottled water is allowed.
  1. Parents or Guardians are responsible for the transportation of their princess to and from the rehearsal and pageant.
  1. Princesses must always act in a dignified manner. A princess whose conduct is deemed unbecoming will be dismissed by the Miss Golden Isles Princess Program and will not be allowed to participate.
  1. Princesses must be respectful to those in authority and must be cooperative, teachable, and abide by the rules set forth by the Miss Golden Isles Princess Program.
  1. The parents or guardians are responsible for the behavior of their Miss Golden Isles Princess at all activities.
  1. The Miss Golden Isles Executive Director, Princess Coordinator, and Program Coordinator are in complete charge of all activities associated with the Miss Golden Isles Princess Program and have the authority to make decisions concerning this program.
