Gateway-Longview is hiring aFoundation and Corporate Relations Specialisttoidentify, establish, create and maintain relationships with foundations, corporate giving programs and targeted government agencies to secure funding for Gateway-Longview programs, initiatives and campaigns and to build visibility of Gateway-Longview within the local/regional philanthropic and corporate communities to enhance current and future opportunities. This position will also:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of a strategic plan for increasing annual unrestricted support by identifying prospects and cultivating current donors.
  • Conduct full range of activities required to prepare, submit and manage proposals to foundation and corporate funding sources.
  • Research prospective local/regional foundations and corporations, evaluating prospects for grant opportunities.
  • In partnership with agency program staff, coordinate, develop and submit applications based on an organized and manageable grant pipeline.
  • Ensure terms and conditions of awards are met, including compliance with interim and final reporting requirements as outlined by the donor.
  • Provide stewardship to current grantors and corporate donors, providing regular written updates, arranging for onsite tours for board and executive teams, etc.
  • Continually build and engage external networks, resulting in an increased number of philanthropic and corporate partners supporting agency programs.
  • Develop and manage corporate sponsorship programs for annual events, including but not limited to BBQ & Blues Bash, Pumpkin Run, and Adopt and Angel.
  • Ensure achievement of income performance targets by preparing proposals and approaches to corporations and organizations, enhancing existing partnerships and establishing new relationships within the community
  • Assist with planning and execution of special event, including establishing strategies and implementing details as needed.
  • Support the Gateway Longview Foundation with all fund drives and donor cultivation activities.
  • Serve as resource for Foundation in terms of learning and establishing new fundraising tactics, trends, and strategies

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree required with minimum 3 years’ experience in writing/communications, sales or fundraising. Previous grant writing experience for non-profit organizations and ability to demonstrate success is a must. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects. Strong organizational, interpersonal and goal-oriented abilities preferred. Knowledge of Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge fundraising software preferred. Proficient in Excel and Word. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and as a member of the advancement team. Ability to work effectively with clients, families, staff and community contacts from a variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
