What FSO can help you with

Scholarship queries

  • Queries about LSE scholarships, missing/wrong value scholarship cheques, air fare refunds (if this is part of your scholarship)
  • All LSE scholarships, unless you have been specifically advised otherwise, are put towards tuition fees in the first instance. A maintenance cheque will only be produced where your tuition fees have been paid
  • Your award will be visible on your tuition fee account on LSE for You. When a cheque has been produced, it will show as Award_Chq in the Payments section of LSE for You. This should then be collected from the Student Services Centre counter.

Short Term Loans

If you are experiencing financial difficulties whilst awaiting funds (e.g. loan payments/monthly salary), you may wish to apply for a Short Term Loan. The maximum amount available is £500, which must be repaid within four weeks. You would need to provide evidence of how the loan will be repaid. Decisions on short term loans are made within 48 hours.

Home UK students may apply for assistance with living costs via the Access to Learning Fund by completing the In-Course Financial Support application form
