From East via Turnpike:
Turnpike to Lee/Stockbridge. Exit 2. Routes 7 & 20 (North) turn right onto Route 7, through Lee. Follow north into Pittsfield (about half hour.)
In Pittsfield, just past Berkshire Museum on right, take a right at light onto East Street.
Follow through first set of intersection lights (First Street); stay in left lane after the intersection. At second set of intersection lights (Pittsfield High School is on right) get in left lane, turn left onto Second Street and continue up the street and turn right into the parking lot at the end of the block, and another right into a second parking lot, which is the entrance to the State Office Building at 333 East Street.
If you use the ramp entrance, both elevator and stairway are available. DMH is located on the 4th Floor.
Via Route 9 West:
Follow Route 9 into Pittsfield. (Berkshire Crossing is on your left.) Get into left lane. At second set of intersection lights, rt. 8 intersection, (Kelly’s Diner on left, Friendly’s is on right) keep in the left lane onto Merrill Road. Stay on this road through two traffic lights, at the third traffic light, keep to the right. This road flows into East Street; stay straight.
Continue on East Street (car dealers are on both sides of road). At next traffic light (Dunkin Donuts is on your right) bear right; this is still East Street. Go through one more set of lights and turn right into the first driveway, directly across from Pittsfield High School. This is the State Office Building.

VIA Route 7 – South from Williamstown
Route 7 into Pittsfield
Route 7 becomes First Street. Go to end of road and stay in left lane. At lights turn left. Next intersection of lights (Pittsfield High School is on right) get in left lane, turn left onto Second Street. Continue up the street and turn right into the parking lot at end of block, and another right into a second parking lot, which is the entrance to the State Office Building at 333 East Street.

VIA Route 8 – South from North Adams
Route 8 into Pittsfield. At intersection of rts. 8&9, bear right/straight onto Merrill Road; do not take a sharp right (Allendale Shopping Plaza is on your right). Stay on this road through two traffic lights, at the third traffic light, keep to the right. This road flows into East Street; stay straight.
Continue on East Street (car dealers on are both sides of road.) At next traffic light (Dunkin Donuts is on your right) bear right; this is still East Street. Go through one more set of lights and turn right into the first driveway, directly across from Pittsfield High School. This is the State Office Building.
