Vatican Questionnaire Pope Francis has announced that in October 2014 an Extraordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops will take place in the Vatican to discuss the theme: ‘The pastoral challenges for the family in the context of evangelisation'. A preliminary document and questions have been prepared to initiate the discussion. Bishop Ray says, " In preparation for this Synod, I would appreciate if you would share with me your responses to the questions posed. This will help to inform me as I prepare to meet with the other bishops in Ireland and frame the pastoral issues facing family life in Ireland today.” For further information, www.dioceseofkerry.ie
